A M&P340 has a much better sight picture with the front night sight and the wide U on the rear. I have a 642 and a M&P340 and the latter is much easier to be accurate with. For me with a 2" snub, accuracy is putting all hits on a paper plate at 25 yards.

Don't be surprised if they won't take them back. I asked for some 9mm ammo and when I got home I found they gave me .40 cal. They said they could not legality take it back because of liability issues.

I also have an unmarked 2" Model 10 with the box. The gun is not marked anywhere with the model number, but the serial number on the box matches the gun and the box is marked "Model 10".

I picked up the 2" from my FFL today. It has the tightest cylinder gap of any I've seen, at .0015. It isn't stamped MOD 10 in the yoke. Is that unusual for a 1969/1970 model? What dash number should it be?

You're gonna love it! I have a M&P 340 that I carry every day, no matter what I wear, it's invisible and weightless. I've put 1000 rounds through mine in the past 3 months. This snubby's accuracy amazes me.
