15-22 Accuracy (For the nonbelievers)

I have not shot my PC model at anything above 35 yards since I use it for speed steel competition. But I do not expect it to be as good as my custom Remington 597 VTR with its 1.5# Jard trigger and its compensated Volquartsen carbon-fiber bull barrel. That gun will shoot a single unraged hole at 25 yards and a slightly raged hole at 50 yards off a rest. If I can get my PC model off the rest to shoot 10 in the black at 100 yards I would be happy. Will try it this summer against the 597 using CCI-SV.

Ive been lookin for a volquartsen barrel for my 597 and had no luck are the they not producing then my 597 is a tack driver but I like to drive finishing nails with it............any suggestions

here is my best group from today 30 yards iron sights federal 550 pack 36 grain copper plated hollow point... i had a couple double hits and the x's on the right are old shots cus i re-use the cardboard back at my own private range:D

From a trip to the range with a 3x9 Barska scope mounted this time, shooting from a bench with a slight wind. All 50 yard shots. I will spare everyone from the sighting in(I don't own a boresight) pics.

This is me warming up with my first 40 rounds for the day. Iron sights+near-sided hehe:

40rounds.jpg

Was only at 20 feet, though ahah. Indoor range that goes back to 50 feet. This was my last shots with it for the day. The diamond on the left was at 50 ft including a few controlled pairs towards the final 20. I need to shoot more often, I can get it much tighter than that.

20 feet? C'mon guys...

How about showing some 50-yard and 100-yard groups?

This is @ 50 yards while I was zeroing my scope. Tight grouping has out shot my other .22's so I traded them....lol and Im an ok marksman at best.... Id like to hear other peoples opinions on this.(federal bulk 550ammo pack)---------(New Post 01/21/12) Just went to an Indoor range too cold to go to my favorite outdoor range, here are 6 targets @ 25 yards I labeled them with the ammo used and round count per target, lets here your opinions about them. From left to right top to bottom. left one is 10 rounds cci mini mags next one to the right 10 rounds cci mini mag the rest are 25 rounds federal bulk per target.....:D:D:D:D:D

As promised, i put together a video with a quick overview of the 15-22 with high points and low points, and some range time. I am HIGHLY pleased with the accuracy considering I zeroed very quickly, put down a couple of 5 shot groups on paper, and then moved out to 100, 200 yards to shoot steel.

JAV said he has vision problems......still not bad grouping

Heheh. Hey, sorry man! I wanted to go to a range close to me. There's an outdoor range near me that charges $30 for 2 hours (with a 100 yard range)...Wasn't in the mood to pay that and the other outdoor ones are much farther and up in the mountains. Don't feel like going by myself, just in case. I took that exact same target to that expensive range and I couldn't see the diamond at 100 yards at all =/ As I mentioned, I start at 20 feet at that indoor range to 'warm up'. I'm not going to shoot that great after a month of not shootin'. I also like checking my targets after 20-40 shots.

I keep buying guns, ammo, or other gun-related things when I'm missing the most valuble accessory for me: Prescription lenses! I'm going to order some soon.
