1942 dated .45 ACP ball

Shooting on an Amy pistol team in the late 1950s, we were issued ECS 43 steel cased ammo, with the wooden cases stamped 'Match Grade'. Our experience was that a GI extractor would break after 1500-2000 rounds of that stuff. OTOH, how many of us shoot 1500-2000 rounds of steel case now?

Remington Arms.
As mentioned why shoot it. It's more of a collectors item. For the price of a a box of ammo why go through the hassle of cleaning and end up with empty brass?
