i never could find any ifo on these pistols except for a parts schematic, so i just tore into her. i was highly impressed at the quality of the design and the care they took to make it.
no scars or flashes.i'm so proud to finally have one!

Congrats on the 2206 it is certainly a unique 22 design. I love the heft of the 4.5" barrel I have, as it is very close to the weight of my 5906 and 4566TSW. With mine I found it seems to prefer plated round-nose bullets for feeding, but I have heard from others that their's perform flawlessly with anything. Aside from the absence of a decocker, I think the design is excellent as well. I think the lower barrel design, work excellent for transferring the very little recoil directly into the palm of the hand, and reducing whatever muzzle flip you can expect from a .22. Now we just need to see some pics of that 2206. :)

it will be soon. now that i have the pics,i have to get the right program to add arrows and captions.
i was a little hesitant to do it,but there are many thread pics on disassembly of other pistols. but unfortunately all i could find for this one is a parts schematic. but beeive it or not its not that hard.
i'll put it out and the guys will have a resource. mine even though it had been shot very little, was very dirty in there!
because of its design i don't think the powder has anywhere to go.

As novalty pointed out, it's the perfect companion gun to the 3rd Generation pistols. My 2206 and 3906 have made a few trips to the range together.

i have a pdf of the manual. i was speaking of a detail strip.
should have it done by the end of the weekend.

Here is mine and it's a tack driver. Becareful about dryfiring as they break firing pins easy that way and no replacement as yet.

We have a guy that has made the barrel nut wrench for us and is in progress of making firing pins.

yeah i've heard of him. hope he gets us some soon! i accidently dry fired mine today and cringed! but it's still good.
went to the range to check the trigger improvement.
it was better. i'll work on it little by little. the sear in these guns is not real beefy and it wouldn't take alot to mess it up, especially if you jumped into it too hard!
mine was shooting 3/4'' groups at 15 yards sitting offhand position. 15 yards is about all my eyes can focus at something quarter size anymore. i never have shot pistols off a rest or in a vise. i figure my elbows on the table are good enough! i wish my other guns would shoot groups this tight. but they won't. it's another brand( thought by many to be the best now days.) i'm not bashing them,just stating facts.
my other gun is neat and i did the trigger work, it's about 1.75lbs. she's good but not like this smith!
i think some of the guys i shoot with are ticked because the smith shoots so well!

A friend bought one just like yours.
It was very accurate.

After three days he came to me with a box, in it was the 2206.
Fully stripped :D Down to the last pin.
( :o ) was his face red?

I had fun with the reassambly, guessing and looking at the parts schematic.

we do! mydad always said you could count your real friends on one hand and have fingers left over. i met an old retired navy cpo and worked together with him in iraq and afghanistan. 19 years difference in age. he will probably hold best friend spot. like they say there is nothing like the bond between men who have faced death together.

Heck he probably wasn't even 50 yet. :eek:

From Shakespeare's Henry V, 1598:
KING HENRY V:
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

i laways loved that quote and how very true it is! yeah back in 2004 when we met he was 55 now i think the big 61 is creeping up on him. he started getting arthritis last year in afghanistan, i said to him "well finally!"
( i have been suffering with it for years, since i was 25)
