Early 80's (N900xxx) 25-2 custom by Jovino gun shop. Shipped to Jovino 7-21-1983. Barrel shortened to 2.75", grip frame reprofiled to KRB. Working on documentation but it has been viewed by one of the smiths who built the Jovino guns who feels it is. Grips look like Fuzzy Farrant to me but I havent seen those markings on Farrants or the other LAPD grip mafia. Cool gun either way. Supposedly came out of the estate of one of the owners of the Condor club in SF. Gun came out of the bay area.

Jovino

Later guns were marked. It is my understanding they worked out an agreement with S&W. I have had 2 marked and 2 unmarked like this one in the past.

This one was just confirmed shipped to Jovino.

Many of the Jovinos' I've seen, not that I've seen all that many, have EFFECTOR stamped on the left side of the barrel. Sure looks right though. Either way, nice!

Very nice, those vintage Jovinos are pretty cool. No offense, but I'm surprised that they didn't smooth & polish the muzzle crown and front sight a little better. But I'm sure that it's a great shooter. Enjoy!

I have had several Jovino customs. Never seen a 657. Lots of 25-2s and 629s.

Nice one.

My 657 Jovino. Lettered and original box with papers. Shipped on Sept. 23, 1986 to John Jovino, Inc in NY. I know there are some out there, but I have not seen another one.
