No, that's not a typo. That's exactly what the roll mark on the barrel says!

You might understand it if the factory had a few old barrels in a box and someone accidentally used those but NO!

Someone grabbed the wrong roll stamp and ran 1,000 or so barrels before "Oooops!"

BTW this letter from 1978 can't be the same Mr. Jinks, can it? If so that is amazing!

P.S. I have posted about this revolver before - in 2011 - but the photos in the old thread are gone AFAICT

Very cool revolver, with that letter it makes it especially so.
The target stocks have some very nice grain and color too!
