Bought one identical to what you describe for $200 cash at a show in Charlotte last year. Original grips and very good bore. It's a great shooter.

The first Model was made between 1888 & 1890. SCSW 3 rd. Edition, states that to be graded as " EXCELLENT" a nickel gun made between 1865 and 1890 would need to have 90% finish.
A nickel gun made between 1890 and 1920 would need 95% finish to be considered EXCELLENT.
So as long as the bore is fine, markings sharp, grips unmarred and gun functions as it should, your gun could be considered as "EXCELLENT" based on SCSW. As Smith17 has said the .32 first Model in Exc. is valued at $ 475.00 in SCSW.
