.327 mag. Have 1? What do you think about it?

I have the 332 and 331's, they are great, I was just wishing the cylinder stretcher would work on them!!

I had a 632 and a 432. Both were sold around '08 when I couldn't find ammo for them during one of the first "shortages". The 632 was especially nice. Stainless finish with dime size S&W logos both under the cyl latch and in the center of the side plate. It seems to me I read that only 500 632's were made. After looking for another 432 for a couple years with no luck, I bought a new LCR .327 last year for $400 (clearanced priced at a local shop) and about $300 worth of assorted .327 and .32 H&R. I put a night sight on the front for $50 in anticipation of carrying it. Have yet to fire or carry it. It was a mistake as I always carry a .38. I'm thinking I'm gonna try to sell the whole mess.

Why would you even want to shoot turtles?

Obviously, you've never experienced an Alligator Snapping Turtle

I made the plunge. Picked up a Ruger SP101 in .327 mag. Got to the range today, it's fun to shoot. Draws attention from the folks couple lanes over, it's a noisy little fella. More pleasant than a 357 in that size frame, for sure
Got dies, brass and bullets inbound, looking forward to developing a variety of rounds, from mild to wild.

Don't look down your nose at the 32 H&R Mag. I load it with a 100 gr. XTP to over 1200 fps. This is from a 6" 16-4, but from a 1 7/8" 431 or 432PD it is still well over 1000 fps. I think this is one S&W missed the boat on, they did make a short run of 431 and 432 PD's early last year, and they disappeared immediately. They were gobbled up.

And darned accurate also.

Yes, I'm convinced but........

I need a .32 H&R Magnum Cylinder for a M-16-4 in order to retain the originality and have a convertible with the above said capabilities. Was forced to purchase two Ruger hand guns because S&W made so few that they are too unobtainable for some of us. I have looked to most of the usual sources but all are sold out and I'm hoping to add the cylinder, yoke and internal parts for the cylinder to have a reamed .327 Magnum Revolver that can be returned to its original configuration. Anybody got one they want to sell?

I did too as I didn't want to convert my LNIB 4", but after no luck in finding the cylinder other than buy an aftermarket one from Ham Bowen, I ran across another 4" 16-4 complete with box, docs, grips, etc in very clean shooter grade and at an affordable price. I was still a little reluctant to modify as it is a very clean model. I've since reamed to .327 with no regrets and could not be happier.
The 6" might be a little better for the .327 but unless I find a deal on one or maybe 8-3/8", it'll have to do.
