The carburetor, water pump is on the Cleveland and painted. The dipstick fits both Cleveland and Windsor. But I'm going to ditch it. I also managed to find the missing hash marks too. I also ordered the water neck and the robertshaw thermostat.
I was going to post this last week. But it felt inappropriate considering the storms that hit last few weeks.

I've used Robertshaw thermostats for 60 years and never had to replace one. I've replaced a lot of originals that came with the car but never had to replace a Robertshaw. Either they're really good or I was lucky.

Robershaw 333 thermostat. It's the one that the Cleveland was made for. I'm happy I did my homework instead of assuming any thermostat would work

Good looking motor Magnum. I went through a different route on my 69 Torino Cobra. I had Allan Root build a new 428 CJ. Allan built the engines for the famous Ford Pro-Stock racer Bob Glidden back in the 80's. I also built a couple FE mills for my 70 Galaxie XL and 64 Fairlane so I understand the love. I also had a 69 429 Galaxie that I left bone stock. I sold this one a few years ago to an old high school buddy

Ghost, glad things are heading in the right direction on the project... the motor looks great and I have a soft spot for 1st & 2nd gen Torino's... Starski & Hutch too... love the Blue... there is just something about a fresh painted motor.

Thanks everyone. I need to take a short break for now. I am investing in more training and making huge life changes right now. Hopefully I will start working on my car again in the middle half of November.

I need to find a small 2 door Ford. Looking for a Maverick or Comet. Have a 351 Windsor that has been bored and stroked to 408 with Aluminum heads and roller cam, lifters, etc. living in my jet boat, but 12 gallons of premium and hour at cruise and 25+ gallons an hour opened up takes the fun out of the boat. I am going to stick a 302 back in the boat and find a home with wheels for the 408.

A Maverick or a Falcon with it would get you from one stop light to the other in a hurry
