38 spcl loads for snubbies

Since you have 231 and Bull, this is what I got out of my snub nose but yours might be +/- fps .
148gr HBwc : oa 1.16, light crimp, f100 primmer,BC .05
2.5~ Bullseye 594fps +/- 15 fps
2.9~ w 231 590fps +/- 28fps
2.7 Bullseye 628fps +/- 28fps Best accuracy with poa
3.1 w231 not tested as yet.........
158 Lswc
3.2~ Bullseye 572 fps +/- 42 fps 5@ 1.14"
3.4 Bullseye 670 fps +/- 58 fps 5@ 1.76"
4.0 w231 587 fps +/- 55 fps 5@ 2.18"
5.0 w231 +P 816 fps +/- 27 fps 5@ 1.88"
My later loads with cci500 and a medium crimp produced
better accuracy and slower powders can also work with a heavier crimp,so pressures will build up and steady ES on loads.

3.6 grains of w 231 under 158 grains lswc, copper plated. light crimp. outstanding!

My default plinking load for .38 Special is 4.0 W231 and a 158 gr LSWC cast by a local company named Red River Bullet Co. Out of my 4" Model 64, the POA/POI is dead on and the 3" 64 is very good as well.
