My Model 60-4 has Mustang grips, which I really like! It appears to be the same shape, just walnut material.

Sure look like the same grips to me as well.

Another interesting tidbit is the larger checkering area of your late 60's era non diamond Magna stocks, interestingly the earlier Model 60 Diamond Magnas had SS washers inside where all other J frames used black washers, My guess is your 1967 (ish) non diamond grips will also have SS washers inside , Another interesting aside is all washers changed to SS by qround 1975 as Im sure it made no sense to make 2 different styles.
The big question in my mind is if your factory grips have the earlier deep SS Escutcheons or are they Brass...or even black ?
Never held a pair to examine.
Would you mind posting some pics of the grips inside as well as a close up of the escutcheons (small washers) where the grip screw passes through but without the screw in place.

Thanks for the added pics....Im a little surprised the washers are blue instead of SS and that the grips are not serial numbered to the gun ,
Anything is possible with S&W but is there any chance they got swapped with another revolver along its lifetime ?
