586-5, 4"

I have a 586-5, 4", 6 shot. Its never been fired (except factory), plastic box, has rubber grips, serial # CDR8XXX.

I think it was born in 1999. What value would you put on this? I have a friend who wants to buy this.

Face reality, price is $1,000 green cash, then offer to match any price he finds cheaper when you include shipping, local sales tax, and transfer fees. Buying guns off the internet in Georgia just went up $56 or more, most local sales taxes are 8%.

I have a 586-5 Made in 1999 also. It came with Uncle Mikes rubber grips.
I would not sell mine for less than $950, plus the Ahrends grips.

Sad to say, but at least a $1000 these days for a gun in that condition is the new normal. I wouldn't sell it though unless an extreme financial emergency. Good luck.

Mine has no box and came with the horrible looking rubber grips....but I found a set of round butt combats.

Maybe I'll just hold onto it. I'm in no financial need to sell it. Plus its the only "L" frame in my collection.

A 4" L frame that is pre-lock is definitely worth keeping since it's your only one.

Plus you never know if your friend will sell it down the road without letting you know.
