I am looking at a Performance Center 5906. It may have originally been sold in MA. Would trigger pull laws have impacted a pistol that went through the performance center? Is there a source to find what the factory pull would have been? Thanks.

How long has that trigger pull law been in effect? That 5906 my have pre-dated it.
Great information.
Most of the 5906 P/C models made for sale in the us were made for the police PPC market. Even the 4" DPA models were made for IDPA and Police service pistol competition. As such all would have to have a single action trigger press of 3.5 lbs to meet NRA rules. All of the ones I have had DPA ,PPC models were over 4 lbs single action when new and had full length and strength 5906 hammer springs. The P/C guns appeared to have a little trigger work done to make them a bit smoother but not much. They want to make sure the guns fired whatever ammo you might be shooting. I took a quick look at the MA laws and I think it said handguns used for competitions or Olympic competition were exempt from some rules and I never saw a weight requirement. Only some safety thing like firing when dropped etc. I didnt spend much time looking, good luck.
