Back to the range to try some different work-up loads in the 610-3.
Used Alliant 2400 powder this time along with Zero 165gr JHPs & Hornady 180gr HAP bullets. 2400 doesn't give the highest velocities in the 10mm load tables but I found it groups well in my 10mm 3rd Gens so worth a try here.
Again the 165gr bullets grouped better, as an average, over the 180gr. for me. My max load used 15.0gr/2400 with the 165gr bullet but the lesser loads grouped the best.
Received the EZ RIMZ 610 moonclips I ordered too & tried them out. They mailed them out the next business day, First class USPS, though they didn't send anything advising same.
Their website says they made them stiffer, by request. And they are stiffer feeling than the ones I have for my 325/625s but after loading/unloading the same one through out the session it seemed to loosen up a bit but still held the rounds plenty snug. Definitely easier than metal clips to do by hand & no problems were encountered with them.
So far so good.
