I finally crossed over to the .45 acp revolver from the 1911s and love it. I just need to see what other people are reloading their rounds at.
Here is what I am using right now for both types of .45s:

200gns xtreme plated flat point
4.1gns of bullseye
starline brass casings
federal large pistol primers
1.190 overall length
roll crimp on a Lee pro 1000 press

It seems to work so far, just wanted to get some input.
thanks in advance.

Is that working in your 1911 as well?
1.90 oal on a 2oo gr flat point seems awful long.

I have a 625pc on the way as well and hope my semi auto rounds will work in both for accuracy.

I have a 5" Model 625-6 (Model of 1989) and a 4" Model 625-8 JM Special.

My most used load is a home cast Mihec clone of the H&G #68 200 gr SWC.
Since I also have 1911's, I load these to work in both platforms (set the seating depth compatible with the 1911's).

My target load is 4.0 grs of Bullseye or equivalent (currently using up some Dupont PB I got in an estate sale). My powder of preference would be Titegroup - it measures extremely well and burns cleaner than Bullseye. When I finally shoot up all of the partial cans of powder I have, I'll be able to open my new 8lb. jug of Titegroup...

One of the really nice things about the .45 ACP/Auto Rim is it seems to be very forgiving. Neither of mine seem to care what similar powder I use. They shoot extremely well. One time, I had a few cartridges left over from three different batches. I was using the NRA Timed Fire target at 25 yards shooting standing. I had two different bullets (H&G #68 and H&G #130) with three different powder charges in ten cartridges. I shot 100X100 with a decent "X" count (with mixed cases). I wouldn't deliberately do that for any serious work but it was interesting...

Of course, I adjust the powder to the load at the level of 4.0 grs. of Bullseye, but have successfully used Dupont PB, Red Dot, 5066, and 231.

.45 ACP/AUTO RIM Forever!!

And here I was thinking about selling my 625 model of 1989.

Maybe I won't.:)

12 rounds slow fire. This is my only .45 acp load for 6 or 7 revolvers and and several more than that semi-autos. It has always proven accurate and reliable, and it works with standard rate recoil spings in the autos.

Good Luck...
