I found these parts inside and obviously shut down the gun.

Came out of my 986 pro. 3500 rounds only.

No, but Ive had to reinstall that spring and hand a few times...

Yuuup.
I had a box of 200 rounds in loaded clips, fired the first 3 rounds- after I pulled the trigger again and the cylinder didnt even move! Brought those 197 home.
I guess I have yet another story on how revolvers can malfunction.

Yes. The part doesn't look MIM to me. It has a different look. Maybe someone with greater knowledge can enlighten us.
It's one of the pins to the hand. I'm curious if anyone has broken this piece before. If not, I may just go get some Powerball tickets.....
It completely disables a revolver completely btw.

That would be hugely unlikely to break under normal circumstances, as it is a very lightly stressed pin. About the only shear stress it gets is from one arm of that wee spring that presses it forward so it engages the ratchet tooth.

I have some old 1970s and '80s hands in my spare parts collection with missing pins due to slightly oversized holes. Can't think of any which are similarly sheared. I've never broken one, even on the heavily used "Steel Challenge", IDPA, etc., revolvers.

I had one break in the middle of a match. Not bad considering it's the only time a revo has broken on me in 40 years of matches.

The pin is press fit into the hand. Not a MIM part.

It didnt look mim to me. Thank you.
But did you see how mine snapped? Like maybe it was hitting the swivel cutout that the trigger has up in the corner. I thought it strange.

Oh well. I'm sure they'll replace what needs to be fixed.

YES

I had one break on a 657 Classic Hunter about a decade or so ago.

I never took the side plate off, it was obvious when the cylinder stopped rotating that the hand was the problem.

Those pins are pressed in from the other side, at least the one that was returned with my repaired revolver was manufactured that way. And back then they were not MIM
