I got my sigma just before the new year. With around 1200 rounds through the 9VE it started to FTE a couple rounds per mag and then stopped all together. April 22 I sent it in to S&W and it arrived at the factory today the 26th. Does anyone know how fast the turn around may be? The 9VE is my only gun,all Im left with is my Golden Sabers and a sling shot. Also is there any chance I will get an extra mag back wth it?

I've heard and seen them back in 10 day or less including shipping. I bet it will be shipped tomorrow.:)

Which repair center did you send it to? I'd say about a week to 10 days. As far as getting an extra mag......good luck. I did not gripe. When I got my .40 back, it was soooo much better that I had no issues.

I'm at the point where I tell people who ask me about my Sigma that its a GREAT gun but you have to expect to send it into the S&W sooner then later.

I had the same issues as you with failure to feed. Less it was about 10 days for me total.

I just finished cleanning from putting Over 300 Rounds in 2 days with no problems at all. It came back a better gun. You will feel the same when you get it back.

PLEASE update this thread when you do get it back. My results have been amazing.

I couldn't wait for a shipping label and mailed it in myself through UPS for $17. I got it back about 2 weeks later.

I just sent mines in for a trigger job on the 14th of this month. I just called them today and they told me that I should get it tomorrow (28th). I'm glad that I picked Smith!

I have a few sigma's in 357 and 40 sw and the only problem I ever had in 15 yrs was a weak striker spring. Always feed, more accurate than they have a right to be. I had black hills holsters build a dual shoulder holster for me and it is great for cross country driving.

Is that the norm? I've never shipped a gun, but I've been reading online that UPS requires you to ship next day air, and it costs $50 to $75.

Just got a letter today from S&W, one week after I dropped it off @ FEDEX. I was hoping it was going to say what was wrong with the gun and that it was on its way back to me,but all it said was they got my gun and usual turn around is 2-3weeks once they receive the gun. I'm highly upset(not pissed) that it still might be 2-3 weeks till i get to go shoot and/or am able to protect myself.

Did you inspect the pistol? Mine went into fail to eject mode one wonderful day of shooting. A fast look,,, the extractor broke. Called S & W,, they would not drop one in the mail for me or let me buy one. It's a fitted part. I bought a replacement part from Numrich, installed it and got back in the game.

The S & W rep was very nice. But other than a shipping label pretty much useless. But very nice and concerned. :)

Maybe the problem is something else.

Good Luck and I hope your Sigme returns to you in wonderful condition.

The person that helped him didn't know what they were doing. When I had to ship another gun for service, she let me ship it with normal shipping.

Thanks Marcus88 for the info.

No problem.

When I got my gun back, I tried the trigger and it seams like the trigger was reduced by about 40-50%

Much better now.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to pick up another gun! ;)

Yep. I waited until I got my M&P to do a trigger job with my Sigma. Now with my M&P in play, I have at least one back up gun if one goes down (knock on wood)

I did inspect it and it looked like the extractor broke, but I didnt want to start taking the gun apart to fix it, plus S&W will look it over for other problems and I might get a new mag.

I wish i could get a back up gun but my budget wont allow it right now.
