I was drafted in 1965 but wasn't sent to the Nam. A substantial number of my close friends did the Nam. All survived...one has extreme PTSD problems.

I despise Fonda totally and have finally realized she is an empty shell who plays roles in real life. Remember the adoring trophy wife to Ted Turner doing the tomahawk chop? She has tried to apologize for Hanoi, sorta, but who can believe anything from her.

I have noticed the movie promos don't mention her. FYI: some feel the movie tries to make the Reagans appear insensitive racists toward the butler.

Cant mrs regan herself stop fonda from playing her? If not, why not? Doesnt she have a say in it? How about mike regan? I would think he would be the first to stop it if he could. If nothing else I would like to hear their views on it. Can the studios have a actor play someone yet alive against their wishs? I suppose sometimes they know they wll be sued but just figure its just part of the cost of doing business to clearing millions more. Here is my kicker: There obvisely must be at least a hundred female actors that could play the part as well if not better, julia roberts come to mind. I say this: The studios knew darn well what they were doing and up against and strickly used fonda to cause huge controversy knowing it will stir up huge intrest for far more paid viewers than any other actress they could think of. It damn sure wasnt done without calculating thought!

John, thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of going to see that movie this evening. I guess we will have to stay in and watch pre-season football instead.

Unfortunately I saw that movie last night. (Arm twisted by lady friend who wanted to see because of Oprah.)

Posting my feelings about the movie and what seemed to be indoctrinational theme would get me banned.

Looking for my old "I'm Not FONDA Hanoi Jane!" tee shirt.

While I spent 22 years of my life defending traitors like her, I respect her right to protest and speak her mind. I may not like it but like I swore I would defend the Constitution. Her protesting was within her rights, but to go overseas and have her pix made and brag? Naw. One step below whale doo-doo.

I will not talk about politics. What I will say is that there are many actors that do not agree with what I believe. I will not go to a movie that stars an actor that actively disagrees with what I believe.

I will not buy a product from a company that supports groups that disagree with my beliefs.

That being said, I will not share here which companies are on my nono list.

That might be political.
