Can anyone give a suggestion for a good 2 point sling?
I think this type will work best for me. Got a lot of 'em out
there too ....
I don't know what type of attachment points there are on
a stock 15 Sport. I may need to get something to hook the
sling to also.

Thanks, Pete

I have the Vickers sling Made by Blue Force Gear on my DDM4V1. Don't know if would work for your AR. Try Specter Gear, they make a TON of different slings for different rifle configurations.

For simple , stock configuration on a carbine without side or top attachment points, a simple, GI sling is both functional and inexpensive.

I use both that and a Troy two point with quick take up pull, depending on what I am doing. The Troy is well padded and great for carrying at ready and transitioning.

Start by deciding why you need and how you will use it and buy what fits your need, not what seems most tacticool.

Like holsters for handguns, some have drawers full of expensive, unused slings.

I've been using the VTAC two point padded sling. It has worked well during the tactical matches I've been doing. NOTE: Buy it direct from VTAC and it will be made in the USA. If you buy the 5.11 version know that they licensed the design from VTAC and chose to make theirs overseas.

The rear stock is easy to mount to. Just use an extra tri-glide to mount the sling through.

For the front you have a couple of choices. 1. You can use a Impact Weapons Components Micro QD mount. It will work on virtually any handguard. You just need to drill a 1/2" hole.

2. You can use the Blue Force Gear Universal Wire Loop for the front and/or rear

I am taking your advice on this....ordered a USA GI silent sling...black, 1 1/4" wide. Keeping it simple sounds good to me . Now all I need is a rifle...ha ha. ($8.90 on Ebay)
Thanks for all the info
Pete

I was using a VTAC, But now I switched over to a Magpul MS3, I wanted the one point advantage when I run and gun because I'm an ambidextrious shooter. Most of the time I use it in 2 point mode and its been working well.
