Ran across a Remington 90T at the Tucson Autumn Grand and just had to bring it home with me. Doesn't look like it's ever been fired. I was thinking about adding a comb but think its more valuable as is. What do you folks think.

I can't explain how great this shotgun felt in my hands. Felt perfect. Can't wait to shoot it. I have 200 singles tomorrow and 100 handicap on Sunday. My first major trap match and I'm having a blast plus I escaped the cold.:D Now all I need is a few million dollars so I can go to matches in a Class A RV. Talk about nice.

When I first started shooting trap several years ago I was amazed at
some of the things I saw regarding the guns people were using. Many
people are very reluctant to modify any common gun for fear of
reducing the value and to see guns that cost several thousand dollars
cut on in several ways to suit owners was an eye opener for me. If you
are a serious trap shooter and are not happy with your scores with
the 90T you will end up modifying or trading it.

No I'm thinking of leaving the 90T alone since I have the Perazzi TMX and I'll mod that to my needs if needed. Now I have also considered replacing the stock on the 90T with a custom one since I'm a left handed shooter and putting the original away just in case I sell it. Anyway I'm happy with both guns, really happy.

tmx is a great gun. I never owned one but had friends that did. only thing I didn't like was, had to have another gun for doubles. does that 90t feel heavy to you? I always thought they were on the heavy side.

I have shot a 90T almost exclusively for nearly twenty years (it's not too handy for doubles) and except for a spring replacement, it has been trouble free. Unlike many shotguns, it was designed from the ground up as a trap gun. With combos and doubles, the trigger mechanisms are more complex and not as rugged. They are on the heavy side, but once you are used to them, the recoil absorption due to the weight is a help.

Unless you shoot a whole lot, you will probably never need any significant repairs, but if you do, Kolar Arms (who built the 90T for Remington) still offers service.
