AFTER 4 YEARS TOTIN' IT - I THINK I'VE FOUND EDC PERFECTION

I shoot my P365 better than any carry gun I own - and I've got a few. I also picked up the Magguts kits for both the 10 and 12 round magazines - bumping them up to 12 and 14 rounds respectively.

The only time I carry anything else is when I need something even more concealable - those times when deep concealment is absolutely required.

Then I carry a P3AT with a +1 mag extension making it a 7-round magazine. I'm probably going to add the Magguts kit to it to make it an 8-rounder.

On those rare occasions when I feel the need to carry "heavy" I have a 10+1 Taurus PT145 that gets the nod - with a second 10 round magazine in my off-hand pocket of course...

Curious if anyone has found an IWB holster in leather for the 365XL similar to the Galco V-Hawk below?

I've been looking for a while, but haven't found anything but the kydex riveted to leather types pictured in previous posts. I prefer a plain 'ol leather holster, but like the spread belt loops of this design.

My best shooting (accuracy wise) semi autos are my Colt 1911's and Colt Gold Cup National Match. They are absolute tack drivers and my Gold Cup has always been my go-to for competition.

My Sig P365 blew me right out of the water the very first night I shot it. At 50 feet it was printing 2" - 2.5" groups all night long with 124 grain AE FMJ ammo. It was shooting about 2" left for me however after moving the rear sigh with a sight-mover, that was corrected. Now it's dead on and the micro 9 pistol is not only super accurate - it is quite easy to shoot with very very acceptable recoil. Truthfully, the pistol is way more accurate than I would have thought! While I can also keep 5 rounds of 38 special out of my 2" RB M60-7 in a 2.5" group at 50 feet, it is a bit more difficult to do.

Wow! I was unaware of this pistol. How much does one of those normally run? That might be what replaces my old reliable Model 49 for the pocket.

I liked my original 365XL so much I bought a second. Holosun 507K X2 on the original, Romeo Zero on the second. They shoot everything I stick in them, and group well as long as I put the sights or dot on the center. 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" when my hand is steady out to 15 yards, same at 25 yards with a rest.

Glock itself made the Model 26 obsolete with the 43x and 48. And even the 43.

There are some people who still prefer the G26 or G27 because of the wider grip and frame which make it more shootable and controllable… not everyone but for some people. That and the upwards compatibility of G19 and G17 mags make it still a relevant option. Key word here is option. Smaller or slimmer is not always better for a particular person.

Just like any tool, a particular gun always compromises in some fashion or another depending on the usage and situation. Hard to argue against the P365 though since it does check so many boxes well enough.

Bought a P365 to try it out. Excellent concealability and accuracy for such a small pistol. Did change out the sights to sig white dots, a shorter one in front and taller (if memory holds) in rear. Did not like the european sight hold on the original and almost worthless (for my preferences) night sights.

Bought it for a possible back up or easier concealment if needed. It is just a tad larger than Glock 42, and easier to hit with than the other small 9mm's tried. Likely due to it's trigger.

Took a long look at a 365 earlier this year. The owner of my LGS let me take one for a test drive one morning. Nice piece, shot it very well, everything I'd heard was true. All that said, I chose to stick with my Gen 1 Shield. It doesn't have the capacity, (8+1), but I've had it a long time, I'm good with it, and it's already paid for.

My P365 is the original configuration as I wanted the most compact and lightest package available. 11 rounds is enough for me. IMHO when you start extending the grip frame, slide, adding things to the slide - you take away from why I actually purchased it in the first place. Not down on anyone who gets a larger or higher capacity model, but the original design is my preference.

+1

I find that the G43 is a bit too small for my long fingers compared to the G26, so the 26's do have their plusses and minuses. And yes, I own both.

I've handled a 365 and I wasn't compelled to whip out my wallet and buy one. I don't remember why right now, probably because I have so many other mouse guns.

I don't belittle anyone for the choices they make; it's your money buy whatever makes you happy.

I carry a P365 some days . I don't enjoy shooting it though . It's a snappy little cuss .

I the tried the smaller 9mm Glocks and 365 there is not enough weight or size to dampen the recoil for repeat shots. The G26 is Queen in this department and shoots like a G19 or G17 with reliability accuracy and control of full-sized 9mm.

The grip length on the 43x, P365, certainly the P365x, Hellcat is longer than the 26. Even the 43 is longer with the standard magazine.

Mount your pinky finger and watch group size diminish.

The G48 fills every role the 19 does in a much smaller package (assuming Shield Arms magazines.)

The 43x @ 10 rounds is a much more compact platform than the hard to shoot 26.

Imo, of course.
