I recently saw a Glock 19, Gen 4 with night sights for sale on an Armslist ad at an attractive price of $465 and was very tempted to purchase the gun. I really don't need another 9mm as I have a M&P 5" Pro and a Shield but neither have night sights and somehow I felt the Glock 19 would be a good addition to my arsenal. Plus I kind of wanted to see if I was missing out not owning a Glock and whether they any better than what I have. However, I decided to rent one first which is what I did at a local gun range. While I found the gun to be accurate and I liked the trigger pull and break, I didn't like it better than either of my M&Ps and certainly it was no more accurate. And whoever mentioned on this forum that they found the trigger on the 19 to have kind of a sharp edge, I totally agree. If I had shot very long I think I might have developed a blister. I totally get that Glocks are reliable and all that, but I've not had any problems with my Shield or Pro after shooting 2,000 or more rounds so my inner desire to buy a Glock 19 is gone now. I guess my point to this is to always try to rent before buying, it may stop you from a compulsive purchase that you may later regret. Also, don't feel too bad if you don't own a Glock.
