Is there ammo purchase limit online? If one purchases over certain amount, they get red flagged and get put on a list of sort? Any truth to this?

I live in California. Assuming they can get it passed this year the Commies that run this state will make it illegal to obtain ammunition in any fashion other than a face-to-face, over-the-counter sale requiring an ammunition buying license, which will be tracked. That is not now the case. With luck it will never be, but.........

What kind of list? What kind of limit?
I'm sure you're added to the list of customers for that seller... I get emails from most of the companies I have purchased from. Some companies have clauses stating they can sell your info to other companies for marketing purposes.
Many companies still have a limit on the amount of 22 lr you can purchase. Other than that the limit is your bank account or the sellers inventory. I've seen people advertise 5.56 by the 55 gallon drum, 9mm by the 10,000 count, etc.
I've never heard of retailers sharing ammo purchases with government entities.

Are you doing anything to stop it? It's up to you, and your fellow 'fornians, to beat this.

Please sir, we are not fornians. Yes we are deep behind enemy lines and will fight the good fight.

Fellow Calgunners and Patriots who will try to educate others and vote to keep our rights.

Outnumbered here, but still trying to do some good.

No truth to that rumor. Some states and localities forbid delivery, but that is another issue.

Anyone who told you buying ammo will get you put on a watch list is incorrect. (and I'm paranoid)

Do you really think Data Mining is NOT being done on guns and ammo purchases?

Walmart tracks sprays paints and chemicals for huffing.

Fertilzer purcheses and various chemicals are monitored.

Do you really think this is not being monitored?

My grocery monitors how much I buy and what.

Lived there 1985 to 1986...that was ENOUGH...it's all wrong. CA was so beautiful til' the 1950's...

There are a lot more of US buying thousands of rounds of ammo than THEM watching us buy it. I'm not too worried. There are probably trillions of rounds in civilian hands.

The most I ever bought at one time was 1000rds 223 REM and another time 1000rds 9mm.When I bought my AR15 the LGS had a pallet of 556 NATO.I think buying several thousand rounds at the same time might have raised more than a few eyebrows.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit though if someone questioned why you wanted 10,000 rds of 556 LAP.Why raise suspicion? We don't really know what goes on behind our backs.

JMHO...

There are certainly companies out there monitoring what you buy and where you buy it, but there is not a legal registry that limits your purchases of ammo. Yet.
