Annoyed at thread drift

Good morning everyone!
Sounds like we could start a society of hospital grumps. No specifics, but I gave up on the local big state hospital system after a big faux paus and a series of little faux pauxes involving many of the same issues discussed here. Biggest issue in these places in my experience is gov'mnt garbage, management and the almighty dollar, sense of entitlement and lack of care among many of the workers top to bottom, overwhelming of the system by ner-do-wells, seeking drugs and their entitled gift, plus their hangers on, e.g. " sofa hogs".
Wish everyone needing to be in these places the best and hope they can make the best of it.! In my case moved to a different medical system, doctors, nurses, technicians, etc. Where they show mercy and so far has been 100% improvement, though you can see in many things it is a struggle for all in the system due to gov'mnt system, insurance, and big money breakdown. At least in most cases options exist, though gov'mnt seems to be limiting that?

I hope everyone stays Completely out of trouble, On this so called unLucky Holiday! To me it's just another day. I'm listing my Rohm 22short. In good used condition. Only carried on pretty Sunday's. It has only slight holster wear. And will only fire manually. By holding the trigger while pulling the hammer back. The front sight is missing and the left grip is cracked. Hmm, Should we take the little Yaris 'cause it's more maneuverable or the big Dodge Ram truck 'cause it can take a bigger hit?
Either way, we're gonna start with spin class and I'm ready with my spandex bike shorts and matching tank top.

Drift, Not a Bear Story !

But a bison story!
A number of years ago some friends and my wife and I were camped in our LQ horse trailers at French Creek horse camp in Custer State Park. Bison roam freely in this area and wander through the camp whenever they want to!
A buddy and I stayed up late, midnight or so, by the campfire while the rest went to bed. A beer or two was involved. Tom reached in the cooler by our chairs and handed me another. He said suddenly, don't pop the top! Freeze!! I heard a grunt and a big bull walked by us about 10' or so away! He stopped as did our hearts! He stared awhile, lowered his head and munched some grass, chewed his cud, passed some fragrance, and continued eating. You could hear his stomach rumbling, his munching, and our hearts beating! He finally moved off, and Tom said "Beer or hard stuff?" We must have went the chaser route as we awoke in the chairs at daylight! We measured the tracks distance from our chairs at 10', and then started picking up cans and a bottle to minimize friction from the spouses. Did not succeed at either! Saw the bull lying in the grass about 100yds. away at the tree line with two other of his buddies nearby.

I have the same story only different. When I was younger I was riding through Custer state park on my Gold Wing. I came over a little hill and the road was full of bufflalo, cows and calves. Not wanting to turn around and go back the way I came I just put it in 1st gear and putted through, weaving through the herd like they were cattle. Later after I thought about it if one of those cows thought I was threatening her calf I would have just been a wet spot in the road.

Poodles and Cocker Spaniels are both hunting dogs. I betcha he'd make a fine upland dog. He looks like he's itching to go chukar or quail hunting.

They do and they will,,, my two cockapoos would give chase to the local rabbits and hunt out the neighborhood pheasants! The last one I had, I had given serious thought to train her for small game and pheasant hunting!
They really are good dogs! Seeing that picture there reminds me of my last one Ginger!......

I did not do my usual five to six mile walk this morning, so I walked to one grocery store, then I walked to a second grocery store, then I walked to KFC for lunch, then I walked to DSW, Academy, and the Dollar Tree store. According to the GPS tracking and the pedometer apps on my sorta-smart phone I walked about 7.3 miles today. So, now it's Beer Time!

Today I'm having Sympathy For The Lager, a European pale lager made by Houston's Krabach Brewing. Think a step up from Heineken and Grolsch with a bit better mouth feel and deeper malt and hop flavors. Strangely, I noted a hint of gin/juniper berry on the first sip. I do not think they put juniper berries in it.

Good beer, not great. Pairs well with the tortilla chips and Herdez Salsa Verde I'm munching on.

Today went well, we decided on the Yaris for the maneuverability. After spin class I put on my lifting shorts, gloves, wrist wraps and elbow support.
Had a really good workout. I've been increasing reps and sets rather than weight. I figger that'd be less stress on my joints. Takes longer but I ain't in no hurry.

Oh yeah, earlier this week, my necklace broke and glass and brass beads went everywhere. We found most of them except 1 brass and 1 glass bead.
Today we found them.
I've already redone my necklace, so I'm not going to redo it.
I'll just hang the beads from my workbench.
Or maybe from the trucks mirror.
It's sunny and warm out.
