Annoyed at thread drift

Makes me kinda miss the days of carburetors and clutches.

My '96 Chevy Z-71 pick-up has a clutch, 257,000 miles, with no rust and it has a tailgate.

It was built in Indiana.

I drove a snowplow for 22 yrs. I hand washed that pick-up every week, indoors of course, to get the salt off of it. You would never believe it went through 20 yrs. of Wis. winters. She looks good.

Good morning all. It is 38 degrees with calm winds this fine morning in Houston. I've had my breakfast and am going to brush my teeth and prepare for my morning walk. I see the Drift thread regressed to page 743 while I slept. Hopefully, the alien abductions will end soon.

Up and going this winter morning with my coffee and the drift but not a lot of ambition! NFL shake up underway, feel bad for the fans in St.Louis who have paid their dues for years and supported a team that has no loyalty. I am sure LA gave them a bunch of cash,new facility,tax breaks,etc. That's pretty much what happened here in Houston! Perhaps the fans should fight back but I am not sure what they could do against the big NFL money!

**UPDATE**

Well, this is what happens when you post while you're asleep! I didn't tell any body why I wanted prayers! For some time now my Dad has been in a lot of pain due to his back. He tried meds, he tried cortisone shots, neither gave any kind of lasting relief. The appointment today was to inject dye into his system so that they could locate the problem, & they did. The area between L4 & L5 is ruptured. He has two options 1. a small incision in his back to try & correct it, or 2. A much more invasive procedure involving a larger cut and placement of a stainless steel disk between the two vertebrae. This would require a longer stay in the hospital & involve therapy. I hope I'm getting this right, as I got it all third hand.
