Good morning everyone, it's still morning here? Well we have had our first snow,,, just enough to slop things up and make the idiots overkill the salt on the roadways! I hate winter, I hate snow! A simple squall and the streets are white from salt, to many morons on the road!
A balmy 25 degrees and the sun is shining! :)
Hope everyone has their Powerball ticket, tonight's the big drawing! :cool:Did I hear correctly 1.3 billion,,,,Wow!

Good afternoon. I've had a busy day and am worn out. Thus, I declare Beer Time!

Months ago today's beer was mentioned in the Drift and I have been trying to find it. Today, I ventured by METRO bus to the Houston area's only Central Market and found the elusive Revolver Brewing Blood & Honey Ale.

Revolver Brewing is located in Granbury, TX south of Ft. Worth. The Blood & Honey Ale is their flagship brew. The beer pours a cloudy yellow with a moderate head. The label notes it is unfiltered. It is a wheat beer finished with blood orange peel, honey, and spices. It is lightly hopped with slight bitterness. It is not heavy sweat but leaves a citrusy slightly sweet taste on my lips. I'm not a big fan of spiced beers, but his one is acceptable. If I were to guess the spices I would include coriander and clove.

It's a decent beer, but I am going to start referring to these flavored beers as novelty beers. I'd drink it again if it was offered to me, but will not buy it again for myself.

Cheers!
