Have you ever been up to the Traditional archery rendezvous at Denton Hill, in Coudersport PA?
We only bow practice at the local SCDNR range, where they have a meadow set up with a series of foam and hay bale bullseyes and 3D deer.
Since the DNR range is also our Trap shooting range, and long-distance rifle range, we usually make a day of it, bring a picnic and shoot a circuit.

The Rendezvous sounds like a great time.

Another Worry! 😏

The sun won't die for 5 billion years, so why do humans have only 1 billion years left on Earth?

Sun is getting 10% warmer every billion years! We only have another billion years before earth becomes similar to Venus and the water disappears, and therefore life!

Why there should be a law!!! Why aren't the law makers working on this?

Why does the Iowa DOT want traffic circles everywhere? Even on rural roads where there might be 5 cars, 10 large pieces of farm equipment, and 10 tractor trailers every 4 hours?
They complain about their dwindling budget, wonder how the costs of stop signs compare to design, repaving, and repairs of traffic circles?
Iowa drivers, elderly, young kids and soccer moms, large farm equipment, all on cell phones, have issues with understanding 4 way stop signs, who goes when, and now they want to confuse us more with traffic circles?
When they do use traffic circlesmehy don't they make the radius large enough for large equipment to get around without running over the circle center, or the circle entrance and exit?
Too much, so confusing, so disruptive! And we will be gone in a billion years, so what does it matter! 😱

Now here's a rant I thoroughly enjoyed. Farm equipment and the apocalypse.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

My wife was off to work at 8am.
Another dreary day here and I feel completely unmotivated.

I've got more "Top Gear" on the dvr.

Hey Snubby, you can put each of your index fingers on your temples, close your eyes, free your mind, and send your thoughts west to Iowa, and we can commune! We would have one of those spiritual linky things I have heard about! When your mind linky gets to Iowa look for a dark cloud, but be careful as there is a terrible echo in the void! I would enjoy the company! 🙈 🙉 🙊

If you black out, you accidentally missed snubby and linked with me.

Why does the Iowa DOT want traffic circles everywhere?

..... and now they want to confuse us more with traffic circles?
Why traffic circles?....because they compliment the Crop Circles?

The most confusing traffic control measure is a Swiss policeman's hand signals. No matter how many times I asked a local for guidance on their meaning, I still made this man angry at me for five years.
After a while, I think he realized I was hopeless, and would just sneer at me while he controlled the other traffic to let me through safely. :o

Good luck at the Doc's.
Have you ever seen an Amish threshing operation using a steam powered thresher that looks like a railroad locomotive? Quite a sight.
Your welcome. Should make a big difference in web usability on heavily scripted sites.

In order, so I keep on the agenda? 😙
Doctors office called, he has an emergency, so is next opening is June 7 ! ⏳
Yep, seen a steam thresher. We have the Midwest Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant in Sept. Midwest Old Threshers Reunion, Mount Pleasant, IA: Travel Iowa, Tourism That is about 45 miles away.
If you come expect either hot or rainy/muddy for weather! Amish around here use mostly tractors now, but with steel wheels on everything! Even seen steel wheels on a skid steer loader, and a riding mower/garden tractor! Though there are horse teams still around.
Regarding electronics, electrons do not like me! Back when I was much younger, 34,000 v. of electrons ganged up on me and tried their darnedest to take me out! Couldn't succeed then, so they have their low voltage brethren annoy me constantly ! 😝

Also in Iowa, up in my neck of the corn fields

Albert City Threshermen and Collectors Show

I haven't been to it for quite a few years but plan to go this year.
Have some friends that are involved with the draft horse plowing attempt for a Guinness record.

Don't get me started on traffic circles, roundabouts, diverging diamonds.
My son lives in Branson, MO, and there are a bunch of them there.

Got my Springfield 1911 and got to the range last night. Like it a lot. First time shooting it did better than with my Sig 9mm.

My wife has different words for talk radio and none of them are wow! 🙊
She rides on a commuter van, and the driver is a sports talk radio fanatic!
As he is the only male on the van, I am surprised that ???????
Of course he is such a sports fanatic ( thinks the Cubs could win it all 😋 ) it is surprising he is aware of the others around him, and he is captain of the ship ! 😙

45° and sunny here in IA. Should be a nice day. Except for a doctors appointment this afternoon. Then go pick up some hay. Noticed that haying has started here. So far hay has been doing well.

As far as strange food combinations, mine is roast beef and chocolate cake!
Preferably devil's food with dark chocolate icing, you know the kind that's almost a crust and almost fudge! Canned peaches on top of devils food cake is almost as good as homemade ice cream on top of devils food cake. Notice a theme here! 😘

When I was growing up all meat, including steaks, was cooked well done, per my fathers preference? Since being married close to 40 years now, meat especially steak, is cooked medium rare! Good wives are a good influence!! 😎

BTW, a big thank you 👍 to bigwheelzip for her communication on computer assistance! 👏

Dad liked his beef cooked well done and I didn't know any better until I was about twelve. I spent a few days with my uncle and he took me to a steakhouse. I ordered mine well done and he asked me why I was ruining a good steak? I trusted him on that one and have enjoyed my beef rare, but not cold, ever since.

I found a good deal on a set of pink flamingos for the yard yesterday.

Regards.

Bob

Can I be an honorary thresher since I worked on this design?

Certainly qualifies for higher than 'honorary' thresher ! More like high tech guru !
And I believe you have previously mentioned a little JD green in your past?
Any red or blue ancestory ?
Also the Swiss traffic circle director, bet your smile won him over! 😀
😞 Me. "...So he gave my friend a little fine to pay
He turned around and grinned at me and said
Ninety days, Jerry, when you're hot you're hot
And I said thanks a lot! ..." - Jerry Reed

No green stuff when at Deere, it was their construction equipment division in Dubuque, so just the usual yellow. The 690D excavator and a remote controlled variant for the Air Force to clear unexploded bombs from runways and repair damage.

The Germanic Swiss are sticklers for rules, and no smile would change that. After many angry gestures from him, followed by apologetic gestures from me, he accepted the situation. He just started watching for my car and clearing the road for me. I dreaded that interaction every day.

Let's not leave out the decreasing-radius cloverleaf interchange, a New York favorite.

Why do railroads use spirials, and ever thing else used circles?
Back in the day of logarithms, slide rules, coffee grinder calculators, etc. I hated spirals, offsets, etc. almost as much as spell check and accucheck on electronic devices!

Cloverleaf interchanges, ever wonder about the genius who thought that merging decreasing speed entering traffic into increasing speed exiting traffic in the same 100' lane was a good idea? And then increase the speed limits, weight limits, and overall rig lengths, over the years, but keep the cloverleaf design, and now round abouts? Lobbyist engineering at its finest! 😫 💩

Wow, there's a lot of room in here.
Glad I keep a flashlight with me.

Out tens unit was a present. Friends gave it to us to help stimulate muscle fibers in my muscles that no longer receive motor nerve signals to help prevent muscle atrophy.
Anyway, we've been using it for muscle control.
It's called the Magic Massage Ultra.
So I googled magic massage.
Got some interesting videos that had nothing to do with a tens unit.
Or clothes for that matter.
