I'm glad I don't have to get out today! I would need that scuba gear I mentioned earlier in the week. I'm going to stay in & make a big batch of my infamous Marinara sauce. Maybe I'll post pics later; it'll be a while though...I like to let it simmer three or four hours. It gets so thick that you can stand a ladle in it with no problem. Plenty of fresh mushrooms, black & green olives, celery, bell pepper, onions & garlic. I use canned whole peeled tomatos, because I like it chunky!
 
The sun is up and blazin, the sky is blue for as far as the eye can see and the temp. Is going to be in the upper 60's today !!

I still don't! Never did like his nasal sound and way out'a tune voice. I never saw or heard what others found interesting about him? I guess I just never got high enough to enjoy his music?
 
Morning all (barely). I went fishin this morning & got a couple pike for supper. Some people don't like them because of the bones but they are very good after you learn to fillet the bones out.
I never saw Dylan live but saw him on TV once and it didn't look like he knew where he was.
Eric Clapton has a new CD out tomorrow. There's supposed to be a special on MTVlive or AXS tomorrow. They've been playing it on Bluesville this week. It's good but nothing revolutionary.

Who notes they didn't have the Model 60 SKU# 178013 I have found interesting.. MSRP $799.00 marked $750 at my NSLGS shootersjax.com they also has the Model 60 SKU # 102430 for the same price which S&W says MSRP $759...trigger pulls were decent and similar...I better see if I won the lottery last night.

I used to work with Beaches Jewelry and Pawn in Jax Beach for Internet transfers and Chuck always had some nice buys from time to time. If you're out and abut, stop in. Good guy and fair dealer.

Good morning Drifters, I woke up this morning and found my beard missing. Now normaly I would not have an issue with this but its been with me for some 18 years now and I was shocked at the theft. All I remember is last night I got my latest purchase out of jail ( S&W's 460 and 500) and took them home and opened a bottle of Jameson's to celebrate and that's all I remember... Any one know what happened???
 
Break Time !

Beautiful day here! Right now 68° high forecast 72°, humidity OK, sunny!
Been in the back yard trimming dead low hanging branches from the oaks!
Tired of forgetting to duck when zooming about on the mower! 😛
Makes one wish to be younger and even accept the dumber!
Luckily the work is in the shade. The sun and some of my meds don't agree ?
Sunscreen is s life saver in multiple ways ! Hate the feeling of too much sun!

Tomorrow we go to the SS office to figure out benefits for my wife to retire!
Luckily the SS office in Coralville has been very good to deal with, and very forthcoming and helpful even on things you do not think to ask! Extremely tight on security though! 😐
She is ready to retire, fed up with her place of employment ( U hospital) and she has what was termed in the construction trade as " rojo burro" 😮 If it had not been for my medical issues she would already be retired.

'Old well' as a friend used to say! 😯

A couple of weeks ago, it was time to trim my facial hair for summer. Long goatee (4" +). Set the trimmer wrong and well it is about 3/4" now and growing out nicely. The mustache was left alone, had it for over 45 years! All a nice silver! ☺ Gave my wife a nice laugh, as this isn't the first time for this error, so she reminded me of what a not smart burro was!
Now the tourists don't mistake me for Amish! Gets kind of tiring to explain to them that Amish do not have mustaches, don't wear T shirts on the outside, and their pants are not Wrangler. But neither of us like our picture taken, and if pushed I will say things that are not nice ! I know several Amish who when pushed about a picture, and see me, send the tourists over to me, and then have a chuckle!

BTW , my tomatoes are about 3" in diameter, and looking nice! Hope I did not jinx them.
Home grown tomatoes, first rate on the epicurean scale ! 🍅 😁

We haven't planted tomatoes yet. We have to wait till after Memorial day or they'll freeze out. I love home grown tomatoes. Too bad they're only in season for about a month. The rest of the year we don't eat tomatoes. I have never gotten a good one out of the store.
