Rationalizing...Yeah, I'm a past master of that myself...OR...I could have just said "I see what you did there"...

Yes, you did see what I did there. Did you notice with the Sig Legions that I talked about DA/SA and SAO variants of the P226 and 229 in 9MM and .40? That would only yield 8 Sig pistols. You've inspired me to drop all pretense and go for 4 more Sigs: a DA/SA and an SAO in .357 Sig in both the P226 and 229 Legion variant. Thanks for your help, tim![emoji12]

I just had a revelation. If God didn't want me to have 26 1911's, he wouldn't have allowed them to be created in 3, 4, 4.25, and 5 in. barrels. There - I feel better now.[emoji379]

Are they all .45 ACP? You're required to have a couple in 38 Super, aren't you?

BTW , my tomatoes are about 3" in diameter, and looking nice! Hope I did not jinx them.
Home grown tomatoes, first rate on the epicurean scale ! 🍅 😁

We haven't planted tomatoes yet. We have to wait till after Memorial day or they'll freeze out. I love home grown tomatoes. Too bad they're only in season for about a month. The rest of the year we don't eat tomatoes. I have never gotten a good one out of the store.[/QUOTE]

Container tomatoes ! Make sure the container can be moved into the garage for the evening if necessary! Fall back plan, all the Amish around us have tomatoes, and other vegetables!
Sometimes I wonder why I even plant them? Somewhere deep inside maybe there is a farmer gene? Nah just a well fed stomach ! 😉

Same here. I have all raised beds now. We will be planting all day Saturday and some on Sunday as well.

I just made our first raised bed and got it filled with black dirt. 12'x4'. We have kind of given up on a garden here because the soil is so poor. We buy most of our tomatoes from the Amish as well. We can about 25 qts a year for chili & goulash & stuff.

Nice, enjoy. :)

I just installed the rubber magazine base plate from CZ Custom on my PCR mags, and using it as an excuse to make a range visit this afternoon for a "test" run.
Since I have the P-01 now, I am thinking about trading my CZ75B Compact for a RAMI. The Compact is such a nice shooter though. Of course, I still need a full-size CZ75 too...and an SP-01. I want to stick to 9mm since the mags are interchangeable.

Man, I need an intervention.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

I have a Colt Delta Elite in 10MM and a Dan Wesson Pointman 9 (9MM). All the others are chambered in .45 ACP. In my neck of the woods, 38 Super rounds are like unicorns.
Oooooo...Dan Wesson=CZ. Thanks BCC. Yet another "CZ" I can't afford. Add it to the list. And yes...I know that CZ also has a "CZ marked" 1911 on the market too.

I do have the CZ97 in .45. Does that count?

Just pretend this is hwitty.

Back on May 2nd I was called for jury duty and went through voir dire in the Capital Murder trial of Osman Irias in the death of his disabled two year old son also named Osman Irias. I have finally found news on the outcome of the case.

Father convicted of child abuse will appeal - Houston Chronicle

The jury found that he did not intentionally, deliberately, willfully kill the child by striking him with a blunt object, kicking him, and strangling him till death. Basically the jury found the child died while the father subjected his son to that abuse, thus convicting him of Felony Murder and sentenced him (at the jury's discretion) to the max sentence allowed of life with the possibility of parole.

On a final note, Osman Irias is in the country illegally from Honduras. If or when he does get out of prison I sure hope the Feds will deport him.

Hey, anything I can do to help!:D:cool::D:cool:

The finished product! I make a bunch so that I can separate it into small quantities & then freeze it. Works out well. I don't know how legit the recipe is, & I really don't care. All I know is that it blows away any sauce I've had in a restaurant. The house smells good right now...

The first couple of years I lived here we had a pretty good garden. The first year I had 4 rows of corn 50 or 60' long. I checked it one night and said it will be ready in a day or 2. The next day there wasn't an ear of corn left. I think the raccoons were checking it as well. Everything else the deer ate. They even learned to like tomatoes. I have a picture of a buck in the garden with tomato juice running down his face. I should have had my lab then. She won't tolerate such nonsense in her yard.

I see you have the sauce protected.

BCC,due to our close proximity to our countries southern border we have a lot of 38 Super here in Texas, must be someway it can be shipped to NY. Not the same as 45 but sure does make for a nice shooter. If you try it you will like it!

I've found that depending on the nitrogen levels in your soil you should amend it every year. I amend my raised beds every year with compost that I make myself mixed with compost from a recycle ctr. We also use epsom salt. It works! There is a fair amount of info. On the subject on the organic gardening sites. I use no pesticides what so ever for insects. Instead I use a variety of repellent flowers and herbs. Marigolds and rosemary are the main varieties.

Earth worms are another great addition to your raised beds. Their casings add much needed nitrogen to the soil as well.
Save all your used coffee grounds to add to your soil when you amend it and the grounds will attract other worm up from the soil underneath your beds.

We do not have poor soil here. I do not have to get manure, sort of home grown! 🐎 🐎
Wish I could get them to apply in the right areas ! They want to do it on their schedule?
Earthworms we have plenty of ! When it rains enough the robins enjoy a feast on the surface! Otherwise they hop, stop, and listen! Of course with earthworms , that means grubs, and between the two, the moles are healthy! 😖 We also have a healthy crop of rabbits, so the owls are fat! A few squirrels for variety. As we have a lot of mature spruce trees growing together, cuts down on mowing, but you could hide emus, and elephants. But we have enough eagles around so maybe the emus stay away?
