I posted a couple of days ago about finding one of several guns on my wish list, a Model 940-1 in great condition. I also mentioned that there were several others that I reluctantly left behind.
That was Thursday. By this morning (Saturday), I just couldn't stand it and went back up to the shop to see if by chance there was still anything left of my wanna-haves.
Well, WooHoo, there were Three! The 3" 60-4, a .44 Special Model 21 and a super-nice nickel 36! I was amazed, but I didn't waste time with no jibber-jabber! I told the man, 'gimme dat one' and a 4473 and a credit card swipe put this near-perfect 1977-vintage Model 36 in my shopping bag. I figured $479 + tax was a reasonable price. I'm thinking I might just go up Monday morning to see if the 60 or a classic Model 21 are still looking for their next home.
