I just picked up my new SD in 9 mm and was dry frying it and my Sigma. I purchase the Sigma last October with the coupon I elected to take the two free magazines.

I was so impressed with the Sigma I just had to get the SD. I have tried Glock's but no joy in the 2x4 grip they have. The Sigma an SD have the best grip in a polymer pistol I have tried.

The biggest one item that impresses me with the Sigma and SD is that the trigger is the same for every shot. With the exception of my 1911 all my other pistol are DA/SA and the second shot is much different than the first. Which always seem to throw me, just can't get use to going from a long trigger pull to a short pull suddenly.

I am considering selling my 1911 and buying some M&P's to replace them. I am planning taking my new SD out to the local IDPA match this weekend and seeing how it does.

Congrats on your new SD and welcome to the forum. Like you, I love the feel of Sigma over my Glock. In fact I like it so much I'm thinking about selling the Glock (I never thought I would consider that) and buying an M&P.

I bought my wife an SD9, it is a great feeling gun. Ran about 300 rounds through my buddy's glock 35, great trigger but didn't feel good. You will enjoy the SD9.

Well I am just back from taking my new SD out to the local IDPA match. Not one problem with the gun, shot over a hundred rounds and not one FTF or FTE at all and this was with my hard cast reloads.

Great pistol if no problems after the next match this pistol will become my new carry pistol. Will put my 1911 away and consider selling them to buy a couple of M&P's.

Well I just picked my second SD this time I purchased a SD 40. I just could not help myself I feel the SD is got to be one of the best concealed carry pistol on the market these days.

Good deal, if the SD's weren't so hard to come by I probably would've bought an SD40 but instead went with another P250 so now I have one dedicated to 45 and one for 9mm and 40.

Around here it seems I can find just about any gun that is in production. There are five Local Guns Stores here in Orlando without counting Bass Pro & Gander Mountain. Four of the Local also have ranges to shoot at which makes it hard to determine where to shoot some days.

Well up here in the PRNJ gun shops aren't as easy to come by and most that are up here look down their noses at you unless your spending the money for a higher end Smith or a classic P series Sig or Glock.

I bought a Sigma almost 3 years ago now. It really is a good feeling gun in my hand. The improved trigger on the SD9 & 40 make that gun one of the best values on the market today. If they offered a version of the SD with an extended slide & 5" barre,l I think I would have opted for it instead of the M&P I bought last month. I assume S&W isn't interested in under-cutting their M&P Pro line by offering an SD long slide model. It wouldn't make good business sense, but it would be a nice gun to own...

I dont know I see SD's on SlickGuns all the time for about $367 , not a bad deal!
