I'm curious by how much ......run a straight end along the runner on the polly frame

I think you could apply pressure to it and bend it upwards, slowly and carefully, with a judicious application of heat to help things along.

think ill just leave it how it is dosent bother me. just put some money down on the M&P 40c and the wife just got a M&P 9c

I guess mine does a little bit. Shot it today at the range. It's the easiest handgun to shoot accurately that I own.

It is the same thing as the Glock 'pig nose'. I don't think there would be a way where it could affect reliability; my .45 has a slight case of it and no worries here! In all honesty, I'd rather have the M&P drop that the Glock turn up...and I'm a Glock fan, too.

Let's see now. You have vertical play in the slide as a normal thing, you have a recoil spring mounted below the frame rails pushing forward and up on the slide. This can cause some upward attitude on the slide at the muzzle. I've seen more space between the slide & dust cover on some GI 1911's than you have on yours and they don't have a dust cover that goes to the muzzle.

Shoot it.

The only issue I could forsee would be light / laser pointing issues. and even those would be small.

is it normal for the recoil spring to not be all the way seated down on the barrel when striped for cleaning noticed i can seat it all the way put it back together tack it back apart and its not seated all the way its not all the way off the barrel

Slide gap...

I have an M&P 45 and it has a slanting gap like yours. I also looked at the photos on the S&W website and the M&Ps they show ALL have the angled gap. They didn't seem to get worried about it so I am going to follow their lead and ignore it unless it suddenly gets much worse.

I read in another thread that the Take Down Lever (TDL) is pulling it out of position during the field strip.
