I love my 11 year old son's Friends of NRA Dinner Model 22A but hate the 5 1/2 - 6 lb trigger pull. My son even has to use 2 fingers to pull the trigger; not the best way to teach marksmanship.

Have anyone found a way to reduce the Model 22A trigger pull to something more realistic for bullseye and younger shooters?

I don't know their pistols, but the springs most likely could be changed. Why not call smith, maybe they will tune it up for you.

I have one of those 22As and the trigger is not bad on mine at all. I wonder if maybe there is something wrong with yours. I would let a gunsmith take a look and see if he notices anything out of place.

If there is nothing wrong, I would have him work on the trigger and see what he can do. Since it is a single action, polishing the moving parts might be all you need to do. If it were a double action, springs play a larger role in trigger pull. In any case, have a gunsmith take a look. My guess is he should be able to get it nice for you for about $50
