Anybody have a "Fancy" out on the town or going out gun?

Anybody have a "Fancy" out on the town or going out gun?

My take on that question is not a gun too showoff but a gun too carry when dressed up. I think a 1903 Colt .32 would be the #1 choice with a Sig P238 .380 as a 2nd choice. When hobnobbing with the genteel elite one should be discreet when being armed. Larry

How about a 1919 Colt 1911 Commercial with a background dyed & carved Stelzig's holster?

Fancy, kinda like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. I'm not too
ashamed of any of these three. Left to Right:

1911 Colt Gold Cup NM hiding in a Heiser #728 with an Ultimate 1911 knife.
The panels are Herrett's double diamonds.

S&W 10-5 with Grasshorns in a Ken Null holster with Puma Prince knife.

S&W 642 in a little black Chic Gaylord speed scabbard with a Piranha knife.
The Blue Lava grips are from Hogue.

Exactly what I meen... not so much a BBQ gun but a fancy gun that is used as it is intended...

I think its cool to know that I'm carrying a Shorty.40, a top PC carry gun... or to know somebody has a beautiful engraved, whatever in a shoulder holster whilst out to dinner with there lady... im not saying we are looking for trouble, but if trouble comes our way why not be fancy lol!

This first one just slides into the waistband and a "dress " vest makes it disappear.

But it depends on the event. Lived in Texas for a number of years and I've been to BBQs where impromptu shooting matches pop up behind the barn. In THAT case, the 2nd one below.

Howdy,

Disclaimer... This is intended to be a fun topic...

I would consider myself to be a student of firearms...

Meaning every gun I have thats a shooter I train with it as I would carry it whether OWB/IWB or fire on the home range, and really my thought is whats the point of having it if you don't use it as intended... yes I get bored of something and sell it off or try something else I KNOW chalk it up to my attentionspan hahah...

So using things as intended... Tonight's (Fancy)carry is the Shorty.40, I figure what the heck I shoot pretty good with it its super compact IMO and is super comfortable appendix carry with a back up 11rd mag....

And compared to the normal edc G19 legion minimalist slide and Trijicon RMR type 2, I figured if it has to sit in evidence, oh well, the Shorty.40s don't fetch much and is easily replaced I've had 3 lol..

She eats ranger 180gr T series like I drink Jameson 12year haha, nice.... and ..... smooth.

So whats everyone else's fancy carry?

Well ..... my PC Shorty-9...... I've carried it since 1995/96.... got it from a friend who wanted to go to a .40...... never realized they were "rare or uncommon" so I shot it and carried it.........

Went to Phila. this past week to move my eldest into a new post college, apt/life......with a hi-cap I've carried for 25 years in a Sparks holster..... Ian my eldest is 23........................... God I must be getting old!!!! :D

I've got some fancy grips on my unadorned guns, but not for display. They're for me. For most of my gunbearing life, I've been busting my butt to keep form anyone else seeing them. But I do like nice grips, which is the extent to my modifying handguns.

I don't go 'Out on the Town' much if at all. But when I go anywhere I take this with me.
CZ-45 25acp mfg in 1947.
D/A only. No safety, slide lock, or sights.
Just pull the trigger.

I believe Ludwig W. Seecamp was influenced by this CZ pistol. The resemblance shows it.

Nope. I choose my carry gun for utility and as others have stated, It is concealed, never to be seen by anyone.
So the Sig P365 XL goes everywhere when I carry. If anything happens to it, I can get another in a week or less.
I can't say that about any of my other handguns.
