Wow lots of debbie downers here. That or all the crazies hitting the internet today.
The reason for the Factory or Mecgars is because most factory magazines ARE Mecgars. They are not really aftermarket mags.
If you want REALLY extended mags IE s&w 32rd, Ruger 32rd etc. etc... promag is the best option.
If you want out of production mags without hunting for a NOS or used magazine IE s&w, walther etc...... promag is the best option
If you want higher capacity mags for something like an SKS, saiga, etc where a factory mag is not available or never has exhisted.....promag is probably the only option.
I just dont get the hatred some of you have when you have such limited experience. I have lots of promags and they all work fine. Have lots of mecgars and factory as well. Just this last friday a ran eight 32rd mags through a ruger p89 without a hitch. I have had the same experience with taurus 92, Beretta 92, XD, and 5900 series 32rd mags. I have even converted some of their mags to fit other guns and they all work. depending on the mag catch location you can convert some magazines to work in 3 or 4 different pistols. Its not that hard.
Hopefully promag will come out with a 9mm 32rd mag for the sigma/sd series. They had one listed on the home page saying coming soon last time I checked. The typical 32rd promag mag tube doesnt really work that well with a sigma. The feed angle of the sigma is a bit different.
