Anyone CCW a 6906 or Other Non-M&P Semi? Any 45acp Models??

Not a big deal either way for me. I'm already eyeing some KSD orthopedic grips for it. I need a bit more length on the backstrap due to very long fingers. My index easily overreaches the trigger if I'm not careful.
These Hogues are on my latest "adoption" and quite comfortable and dress her up a bit.

For about 10 years I’ve carried my 1066 IWB in a Milt Sparks holster. It is extremely accurate and has never malfunctioned in several thousand rounds! I have two other 10mm and this is the only S & W gun I have.

My grandson carries the 469 I gave him. With a flat based 12 round mag in the gun and two 15 round sleeved magazines for reloads

Awesome. I've read about "slop" or "looseness" on some wood grips. how do yours fit as far as grip to frame movement?

I like my 6906. I carry it with me at work every day. I keep 3 spare 12 round mags in my brief case. I don't leave home without. It's an excellent semi auto firearm.

I have carried both a 469 and a 6906 while off duty for awhile and the are great pistols. The shift from the double action to single action was hard to get used to for me. The single action pull felt kind of mushy to me. I was carrying Glocks and 1911s on duty at the time so that might be the reason. Other wise the are great pistols accurate and reliable

There is a Kydex holster for the second and third gen Smiths. Alien Gear makes one and I can carry my 6904, 3913 and CS9 in it. You also might check out Garret Industries holsters. I have two of theirs and they said that they can make a holster for any gun. Theirs is a inside leather lined Kydex that protects your guns finish.

As far as holsters, I purchased an IWB Galco tuck and go 2.0 for the Sig 239 after reading Sig 239 stuff works well for carrying the 3913 and variants.

The 3913NL fits perfectly in it.

I have 4 choices, 2 first gen and 2 2nd gen. I have nickel 39 and 59 if I want to carry 9mm and 645 and 745 if I want to carry 45.

These fit fine, but I can see where they might loosen up over time if taken off and on repeatedly. The attachment system using metal frame tabs "married" to wood may be the culprit.
