Anyone CCW a 6906 or Other Non-M&P Semi? Any 45acp Models??

Here is my BNIB 6906 manufactured in March, 2001. I am debating if I should sell it or not? If I do not sell it, this will become my new concealed carry gun. I concealed carried a 6906 in the late 80's to the mid 90's, sold it and went to a Sig platform. Now I may go back to this 6906! Only shows what was old, becomes new again. I'm glad I kept my lime green leisure suit and platform shoes so when it's back in style, I'll be ready!

That is a fantastic looking 6906 Zebra! You might just regret selling that one, I know I would. I say hold onto that fine example and use it!

I typically rotate through 4 or 5 handguns for daily carry, depending on what I'm expecting to get into or where I might be going. If I'm expecting to be at the desk all day I might opt for the 4516 IWB. I love the way it shoots and I'm very confident in it and my ability to hit what I'm aiming at.

When it get's into the really hot & muggy days (like it's just now starting to do), I'll switch to the Shield 45, both with and extra mag or two. When I feel really nostalgic, I carry the 66-1 snubby, with a couple of zip strip reloads.

But most often I find myself carrying the 6906 with a 5906 mag w/adaptor, and a spare. I can't for the life of me recall what holster this is, but it rides the 6960 at just the right height and angle for me. I can be in the truck seat all day without noticing it's there until I reach down to unbuckle the seatbelt.

It's another gun that I have a lot of confidence in, and it suits me much better than a black or tan plastic gun. In fact, of the 1/2 dozen or so 3rd gen Smiths I own, there's not a one of them that I don't feel comfortable carrying. (well, the 1076 on a 95° day with 75% humidity might be rough on a long day out in the field)

Old Geezer, old school. CS45

3953TSW. The holster is an R. Grizzle Town&Country 2 for a Sig P225A1 but it fits the Smith perfectly. So the Smith rides in it and I've never carried the Sig lol.

A couple of #rd gen's for EDC. Both wear nite sites! By todays standards they are a little heavy but built like tanks!

Early this year I chanced upon a decent priced model 5906-I had intended this as a project gun.

However, my interest on this project kind of stalled and I instead decided to get a complete 6904 slide for it.

With full size mag and lighter weight I really like it as a concealed carry piece.

I like it a lot I bought a model 5946

and got a 6946 complete slide and barrel for it.

I think either would be great for carry.
