Anyone have experience with Survival Loader?

My brother showed me this because I was talking about reloading for 12 gauge too now that I got a Lee single stage press for my 38 special. I do not shoot too much shotgun other than hunting season and trap so I figured a low output option that is simple might be nice. Anyone have any experience with this?

I have not used it, but watched the video. Looks like a good option for someone wanting to just load a few shells.

Years ago I bought an old Marlin 16 Ga. pump shotgun and was tempted to buy a Lee Shotshell Loader. The recommendation I got at the time was if I didn't expect to shoot more than 100 rounds a year it was fr more cost-effective to just buy factory loads! It took about 5 seconds to realize this was excellent advice.

If you really want to load your own the Lee Shotshell Loader is within $2 of the same price as what you are asking about, and you will have a real loading press that is a whole lot more practical.

Buy a Lee Load-All for similar money. I have had two of them for 40+ years and they work great.

A "survival" handloading kit for 12 ga shotshells can be purchased for less than $20 at your local hardware store. Pipe nipples, washers, pvc fittings, wooden dowels. The only thing that can't be found there is a star crimper but there are ways to roll crimp shells to keep everything snug and in place.

it's not just ammo, but exact kind of ammo. You can't always find what I shoot

I looked at that it a while back (I'm a tool nut, gadget kinda guy) and would have purchased one, just 'cause (same as I have 8 Lee Loader Kits along with all my other reloading tools/equipment). Looks good, well made and simple to use, but I didn't think "just 'cause" was a good enough reason for the $90 price tag...
