Anyone use YETI coolers and/or mugs?

I have a Yeti 30oz and a Ozark Trail 30oz. If you set them on the counter with the emblems away from you, you can't tell them apart. I think Yeti makes them both.

I Got A Yeti 30 oz Last Year For My Daughter @ Christmas & Recently Got A Ozark Trail For Myself Look & Function Exactly The Same,Son Has A RTIC Cooler that performs the same as A Yeti but costs Less.

I haven't been able to bring myself to buy a Yeti brand cup yet. I did buy a 30 ounce Ozark Trail cup at walmart and it's been great. Works as well as the Yeti my boss has. At $10 each I can buy lots for stocking stuffers.
I may buy one of The YETI brand soon just to have my own to test out.

Big Chuck is on to something. My SIL received a Yeti mug at work, his Ozark trail cup keeps ice as long as the yeti.

He would not buy a yeti.

Now does Ozark trail make large coolers? We need to talk to them......

Earlier this year it was reported that Yeti is suing Walmart.

Yeti Coolers Inc. (Yeti), an Austin, Texas-based manufacturer of drinkware and coolers, is suing Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Bentonville, Ark., claiming that drinkware products sold at Wal-Mart infringe on patents and trade dress infringements.

I have a 60 quart Yeti cooler. Due to the extreme weight of the Yeti I prefer either my Igloo MaxCold 50 quart or Coleman Ultimate Extreme 58 quart, both of which will keep ice as long as the Yeti. If you are going to have a stationery/permanent mount in a truck or boat the Yeti are durable but are overpriced and heavy.

I have the 75-quart Yeti cooler and would definitely recommend it. While others claim to be just as good, I believe the Yeti cooler is made in the USA and that means something to me. Not sure where the knock-offs are made.

I just may have to try one of those Ozark Trail 20 oz. tumblers. I absolutely hate luke warm coffee.

I've got a Yeti beer can holder and used to have a Yeti 20 oz. tumbler. The can holder is superb, with the only drawback being that they're heavy, so it's hard to tell when your beer is running low. ...
When you can't even tell how much beer is left in the can, it may be time to call it a night. :D

Igloo makes their sportsman cooler in Katy Texas. A 40 quart model (actually 40 quarts ) cost $219 less 15%.from the factory store. Expect free freight + for black Friday deal. The comparable Yeti 45 quart (actually 37 quarts) has a Yeti controlled price of $350. I have the igloo, and compared to Yeti''s I've also used, can't tell any difference in performance. I personally won't pay for perceived value nor persistent advertising.

What I heard is WalMart found out what factory that Yeti was using in China and put in their own order (this is for the small stuff, the Yeti Tundra coolers are made in the USA).

If I bought a Yeti, I'd be wearing Costa Del Mar sunglasses, too.

Ain't gonna happen.

I have a Yetti 105, it stays on the boat all summer. It winters in the garage ready for parties or when ever the need arises. It has been good I am happy with it.

They seem to last longer than other brands, it is well made. You can get parts if need be. hinges, rubber locks, drain plug, etc.

I am glad to have it, but I might have gotten a slightly smaller one, just to use less ice in it.

I have a few accessories too, top cushion, cup holders and a tie down kit I haven't used yet.

I'd buy it again, money well spent I'd say

I've used Yetiu coolers for keeping and transporting game. A good example of how well they work was last Fall's antelope hunt. We filled the 80 qtr. Yeti with cubed ice on the the Thursday before the hunt. The high temps were in the 70 to 85 range for the first 5 days. I killed my antelope on the following Wednesday. The ice had melted a bit but I had to empty a bit out about leaving about two thirds of cooler full of ice before putting the quarters into the Yeti. I didn't open the cooler until Friday and it was still half full of ice.

The Yeti has kept flash frozen fish completely frozen for a week with just a little dry ice.

Yeti sure makes a great product.

My biggest objection to a Yeti/Ozark/Rtic is that you can't close the lid the primary reason I use a travel mug ( AKA Adult Sippy Cup) is to keep from spilling.

I have a 20 oz Bubba Tumbler that I bought for 12 bucks at Walmart that I use for water at home that keeps ice 24(ish) hours and has a lid that closes.

At work I use a 40 oz Hydroflask water bottle that will literally keep ice for a week if you keep it sealed (again closing lid) I left it open in the freezer overnight with a little water in it and the water didn't freeze. I forget what I paid for it but it was about half of what a Yeti costs.

For coffee/Tea I have 2 Starbuck's mugs. One that sat on a loading dock at work for a week before I picked it up (there was actual mold growing in the cup) and one that I found empty sitting on a rock out side of a Substation at 3 AM. I don't know how long they'll keep Tea hot but it's longer than it takes me to drink it. I priced both mugs at Starbucks one morning and the one was 20$ and the other was 28$, my price 0.

I replaced it with the Wal-Mart Ozark trail, and I can't tell a difference in performance. The beer can holders at Wal-Mart are always sold out, but I'm going to buy one the minute I see one for a backup.

They are readily available at Walmart's online mail-order website. Price is $7.74. If you specify "store pickup", there is no shipping charge.

I heard the same thing and based on the purchase of a couple of their Ozark Trail branded mugs and comparison to the ONE Yeti mug I have, I believe it. There was no noticeable difference in insulating properties between the two. There is however a HUGE difference in price.

You Tube videos also seem to confirm that they are basically the same.
