APARRANTLY THE DEATH RATE IS DOUBLE WHAT THEY PREDICTED IN THE US!

On March 16, 2020, in this esteemed Forum you noted you ‘walked away’ from a job that was going to pay you twenty thousand ($20000) dollars. Then you state herein you ‘lost at least $30,000 or more in income...’

You did not lose it...you gave it up!

Others affected did not quit their jobs...their jobs were taken away.

And this:
"Don't need or want the money that bad."

Like politics, people have chosen a side. We will see who is right.

Like the media and many politicians, some in the medical field have taken sides to for their own gain as well.

In the "I seen it with my own eyes" category, one of my neighbors passed away two weeks ago in the hospital under hospice care following a fight with colon cancer. He was not exposed to COVID-19 and had no symptoms. This weekend I went to check on his widow and she showed me a copy of his death certificate and, low and behold, guess what the indicated cause of death was? Yep, Coronovirus.

Statistics don't lie, but statisticians sometimes do. At this point, I don't have confidence in any data, response, treatment, or prevention information regarding Covid-19. Just call me a skeptic and I disagree with the title of this thread . . . I think the actual death toll is probably less than half the reported numbers.

I doubt that 50% of the virus deaths are actually something else. I don't doubt that some hospitals are taking advantage. Business always take advantage of government programs. If the government is going to pay the medical bills for treatment and they won't get payment for something else I have no doubt they will write it off to the virus. On the other hand some deaths are not getting counted in some places. Will it get used politically. Are you kidding me, of course it will by both sides. Look at the uproar a jock kneeling during the National Anthem cause and nobody died. But, even if you cut it by 1/3 it is still about 48,000 deaths in 6 weeks and the numbers are already starting to go back up with the "reopening. 2,370 in the last 24 hours. Cut that by a 1/3 and it is still 1,578 A DAY, It is getting warmer out all the time. Why hasn't the virus numbers dropped like all the internet experts said it would? Maybe in July and August? Going to bet your life on it? Or more correctly just give me the number of other peoples lives your willing to loose.

Just tell me how many is to many? Simple question.

Apparently 50,000 don't phase some of you.

100,000?
200,000?
300.000?
1/2 a million?
a million?
more?

Enough already I am completely done here on the virus. Some people are going to cling to there beliefs no matter what the number. To them it will always be a media hoax, a election plot, a plot against their "Rights" (a world wide conspiracy you know )

Back to the revolver side

According to Johns Hopkins the U.S. just recorded the lowest daily death toll in a month, still too many at 1,015. Anybody hear that mentioned on the news? Any media?

Anyone want to take a guess why this isn't being reported?

Maybe because yesterday it was back up over two thousand again, because the reports on weekends have been lower for some time now due to reporting issues, and because the daily values have been cycling up and down for about three weeks now? That would be my guess.

Here's the latest graph on daily deaths. It's looking like it's cycling up and down as the wave of the virus is moving through different cities and regions. It hits New Orleans so there's a peak and then decline, then moves to Detroit, then Chicago, etc.

It all boils down to whether you are gonna sit around and wait to die or are you going to live life. I always made it a habit to stay away from strange bodily fluids and people coughing so nothing really has changed for me. You want to wear a mask-fine. I'm not wearing one. They don't protect the wearer or the people around you at least the ones everyone seems to be wearing don't.
One of the great risks of living is dying.I don't go out of my way courting ways to die but neither am I pathologically afraid of it.When it happens it happens. I'd rather it not happen sooner and will take reasonable precautions, but I am NOT gonna cower in a corner afraid to go outside only when wearing a bubble suit.
One good thing HAS come from this however. "GET THE **** AWAY FROM ME"is now an acceptable form of greeting.

Hoarding in Iowa

In view of the difficulties staffing meat processing plants, supermarkets here are limiting each meat shopper to 4(four) packages of meat....no weight limit. My wife just returned from supermarket and reports that shelves usually containing corned beef or roast beef hash have been picked clean. It's like squeezing a balloon....address one problem and create a different one. Mass hysteria is uncontrollable especially when "authorities" are often proved wrong.

Those of us who have an even rudimentary understanding of the meat packing industry have been wondering what took so long for COVAD-19 to show up. A combination of factors make those plants hot beds of infection once it starts. It is also notable that the death rate among the infected workers is moderate. In Iowa, the deaths are highly concentrated among our oldest citizens.

I and several acqaintances suspect we've already had a mild case of COVAD-19 and recovered from it. None of us went to a doctor and were certainly not in any statistics. I'm saying the survival rate is way higher than stats imply. BTW....all of those I mention are geezers.

I've been following the numbers and will share them here: Iowa has reported 219 deaths due to COVAD 19 out of 10404 known cases(2.1% death rate). Iowa has roughly 3,000,000 citizens and the death rate to population is .000073%.

Enough said.

It doesn’t have to be a pick either ‘A’ or ‘B’ deal. It can be A and B. The whole virus thing is bad and we can still go back to work. Since there is no vaccine or treatment, it’s likely we’re all going to get this (or have already had it). The people that are going to die from it still will. Manage the hotspots where they happen, when they flare up.

That has fallen on deaf ears.

First it was masks, then toilet paper, then social distancing, then testing, then ventilators, then closing everything, then beef shortages, now killer hornets.

Wonder what the common denominator is?

The main stream media.

More dangerous than any foreign terrorist, as they have kept a great many more people cowering behind closed doors than any terrorist could ever hope to.

...the latest...

"The world should brace itself for a second and even third wave of the coronavirus pandemic before sufficient immunity to the virus is achieved in the population"

"This is a pandemic, and in a pandemic this virus will remain on our list of medical concerns until 60 to 70 per cent of the population have been infected,"

...but...but...we've been told Herd Immunity is old fashioned...not politically correct...and real smart people have out smarted Mother Nature...

...so what the hell is actually going on?...

...guess...

Virus is overtaking us here in Vermont . As of today's press briefing, when the governor stood there in his black mask and told us how proud he was of our lock step compliance, the entire state of VT has 6 people currently hospitalized and 20 being monitored. Which is OK since all the hospitals furloughed staff and are teetering on bankruptcy. I'm so grateful that he has decided that we are not out of the woods yet, with no end in site to the shut downs and public shaming of scofflaws that don't wear a mask.

I've believed this since day one.

It would be nice to see some evidence-like in facts from a qualified observer-like from our national intelligence service.
as in:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Office of the Director of National Intelligence today issued the following Intelligence Community (IC) statement:

“The entire Intelligence Community has been consistently providing critical support to U.S. policymakers and those responding to the COVID-19 virus, which originated in China. The Intelligence Community also concurs with the wide scientific consensus that the COVID-19 virus was not manmade or genetically modified.

Intelligence Community Statement on Origins of COVID-19

Very very few of our politicians have medical or scientific backgrounds and some tend to ignore the experts who have the knowledge because it doesn't fit an agenda.
