Arby's - What you see is NOT what you get.

I'll be the "odd man out"... A few months ago, I stopped at an Arby's next to a hotel I was staying at in Tenn. Ordered a Ruben. It was actually pretty good. As a roast beef sandwich lover, I'll leave no comment about what they sell as roast beef...:(

Compare the Lobster Feast on TV to the lobster feast served to you at Red Lobster -- that is real false advertising.

Funny you mention this, I remember several years ago a guy I worked with saw a ad in the paper for Red Lobster, that day after work he went home picked up his wife and they went to Red Lobster and ordered what was in the ad, when it came it didn't look anything like what he ordered, he complained, he showed them the ad and told them that is what he wanted and he said it loud enough for everyone in the place could hear, they gave him what he ordered. :D

The food used in ads is usually not food at all, it's made out of plastic or plaster as it photographs better. There might be a little resemblance to what you buy, but not much. Not sure how the chains get away with false advertising, but I am sure their lawyers tell them how to do it.

That reminds me, a couple years back McDonald's had a mushroom burger. Picture showed it loaded with mushrooms, no pickles. I had had a couple before and they were not too bad (for McDonald's) and had a good amount of mushrooms and they do not come with pickles!

We were about 2 hundred miles from home and we decided to do a quick stop and continue home. Went into this busy just off the interstate Mickeys Dees and I ordered a mushroom burger.

It was haphazardly thrown together had 2 mushrooms and about a 1/2 dozen pickles. My wife is a Little more diplomatic than me and she went to the counter got the manager and asked him does this mess look anything like the pictures and the commercials show?

Even the manager said no that is totally wrong and supervised another made up (had about 30 mushrooms on it).:) He then comped my wife $25 in coupons good at any McDonald's (Our bill was about $10 at that place).

I stopped going to Arby's when they downsized their large roast beef and raised the price. At one time the Arbys here were busy all the time, now you see three or four cars in the parking lot. We have several mom and pop hamburger joints here that still use beef, they are packed most of the time.

Arby's doesn't make fries anymore==just extruded "curly fries"!

When coupled with mental images of any type of food, the word "extruded" makes my stomach churn.

Even pasta? Almost all of it is extruded, especially spaghetti and macaroni. Once I lived near a pasta factory that made extruded spaghetti and macaroni and I was inside their plant several times.

We don't do Arby's any longer. We as in the LE community in our area. We have anecdotal evidence that they've been tampering with the food of LE officers who order . . . if we were to get hard evidence it won't go well for them.

ANYONE who tampers with food should have to spend at least 10 years making food for the other inmates.
Y'all need to get some friend-of-the-cops employed there and catch them in the act. A tune up would be in order, IMHO...

About 15 years ago, they had the Fixens Bar where you could add dill pickle, tomatoes, lettuce, etc to your sandwich. All the cheap skates brought their own sandwich and ordered a drink and used the Fixens Bar.

Then about two years or so, the Fixens Bar was gone and I haven't been back since.

...Intratec Tec-9...infamous gang banger pistol...I imagine the plastic tie is holding the rear of it together...

It was the favorite weapon of Baltimore's drug dealers...which prompted the Maryland General Assembly to ban it as (and I am not making this up) an "assault pistol".

Dealers who sold them around here called them the Jam-0-Matic...
