It does make sense for people to try to post things relevant to the thread on which they're posting.

It's also true, if you don't like what's posted on a thread, then don't read it.

Even when the rules specifically state otherwise? I think maybe you have a point in that maybe the reason people are doing this is that they feel entitled to do what they want. It is a free country after all. Who needs rules?

Honestly, what you are saying makes perfect sense and I agree with you... normally. However, in this one particular case this thread has been designed for no discussion. Yes, I understand that is hard to fathom on a discussion board, however there is a valid reason for that rule... not that the admin needs a reason. The thread is designed for folks to quickly find a link & purchase hard to find ammo, when that ammo goes out of stock within moments. The "drivel" forces these searchers to visit the thread constantly, only to see post after post has nothing to do with them finding their own ammo. When ammo goes out of stock so quickly, even a few moments delay can mean the difference between a purchase and frustration.

Dave, I couldn't agree more. However in this one very particular case, the only thing that is expected in that thread is links to ammo. If I am looking for ammo, that is the one thread I will be reading. Point is, all the comments take away from the entire purpose of that thread & keep some folks from using that tool.
