Are the 27-2 S&W w/3 1/2" barrel worth the money?

If you look at todays modern "Classics", the price on a nice 27 is not the least out of line IMO.

Saw a Classic 58 in nickel at a GS recently. Nickel job was horrible and the grips were totally useless. My old 58 is a true Classic, not a knockoff.

Mike,

I'll give ya $800.00 for that beater EVEN with the shabby renickel job and bobbed hammer. You'll be in the black for $300.00 or so:). Will even throw in shipping and your FFL's price.

Hope ya had a Merry Christmas and very nice 27! Would love one in nickel.

Roger

Thanks Roger, I think I'll suffer with this boat anchor for awhile. :(
Happy New Year to you and the family.:)

S&W MODEL 27 3 1/2"

I have a 98 % Model 27-2, 3 1/2" I would consider trades for a Model 29 or for any 44 specials. Jim 530-409-2441.....

Here are my 27's. The bottom two are pre-27 and the rest are 27-2's. I have a line on another nickel. That might be my last '2011' purchase.
The look and feel of the 27 3 1/2" guns are the epitome of big bore revolvers. (I have loaned my tripod to a friend, excuse the poor photography. I figured the subject would outweigh the pic quality)

very few guns i have heard referred to as sexy. The 3.5 inch 27 is one of them.
i wouldnt sell my pre 27 for the prices being discussed above
