Thought I would do a check in thread for people in NJ

Maybe we can get together an shoot sometime or compare notes of living in NJ and trying to own guns here and staying out of jail with them

Never been north of southern Kentucky. I like free America. Good luck guys, maybe someday ya'll have things better.

I crossed the border a couple of times between Philly and Cherry Hill.

Good times but thirty years later +

I'll pass.

Spent my childhood in Westwood,nj that's near Paramus. Great place to live. The small town life and 20 minutes from the NYC. Parents moved to ct. It sucked here. Been here since 1961. My dad bought tires at Travolta tire from John Travolta dad. Tony soprano lived there too but was born when we left.

NJ Refugee.

I'll second that, but my exit was 25.5 years ago.

Class III

I'll 3rd that. Watched the 'Twin Spans' Delaware Memorial Bridge recede in the rear view mirror almost 27 years to the day. Ain't never goin' back.
Good luck to you folks still there.

I was lucky to grow up on the Jersey Shore,
but I saw the writing on the wall,
so I headed to Florida in 1974.

Born and raised in Edison Twp. Moved to Hunterdon county when I was twelve. Escaped to Montana in 1979.

My mom is the only thing sending me back for my three times a year visits. (Exit 63 Barnegat) I still have a lot of good friends in Jersey but as a shooter and gun collector life is simply too short to put up with the States draconian gun laws.

I do miss Jersey folks and especially miss the Jersey shore. Miss the good Italian food, Wa-Wa's but most of all the deep sea and surf fishing.

I live on a Blue ribbon stretch of trout water and I seldom pay it any mind. The ocean is REAL fishing in my mind. Especially back in my youth with the shore littered with hypodermic needles, out of favor mobsters and other items of interest.

FN in MT

Drive through it a few times a year when going down to Va to visit my son, we stop for gas but don't get out of the car.

Wow, a local!
I'm in Hunterdon, family has been here 300 years

I am never in New Jersey when I can avoid it. Sent to clients sometimes in rural southern Jersey, which is nice, but I always fly into lovely Newark.

Hey neighbors, friendly hello from your neighbor here in the keystone state. I feel your pain. For those in North Jersey, from what I hear there aren't many ranges left anymore? I've heard of One in or near Sussex county and Morris, but none in Bergen. Is this true?

My Mom is in South Jersey, Atlantic county. There are three great shotgun ranges for sporting clays one is 20 minutes away...the others within an hour. Very challenging courses too.

We lived in Kingwood Twp, near Baptistown. I graduated Delaware Valley Regional HS in 1968.

Wow small world, we still have the 165 acre family farm right next to DVR. I'm sure you went to DVR with some of my family.

Born at Mountainside Hospital and grew up in Roseland. West Essex High School class of 1968. Shot on the 1963? NJ small bore rifle championship team. Trained by Winnie Carr and practiced at the P J O'Hare outdoor range in Roseland, NJ. Winter practice was at an indoor facility in Maplewood NJ.

Left in 1970 and headed north to Massachusetts, to be with a college girlfriend, go figure.

Been here fighting the anti's for 45 years. Apparently better than NJ but not much.

Oldest daughter met a boy from NJ in college and they and their 3 sons now back in northern NJ. What goes around, comes around.
