I am guessing the average age is 55 or older for the most part. I am 34 years old and am on this forum daily. I have learned so much here and it has helped me make better decisions, made me want more revolvers, help a new shooter or two out. Even helped me learn that sometimes a problem gun just needs a good cleaning and lube and maybe some new springs.

Yeah,

The youngsters are out chasing the girls while us old timers are sitting looking at this forum. I am to cheap to chase the gals and the young ones would just say eeew anyway. LOL So here I be.

Yeah, we can only get our kicks by shooting guns. I can remember some really good shots I made years ago, though.

WOW! The poll is a little scary to look at.

No members under 30 so far and only a handful under 50! I just missed the most popular category by a year - I'll be 64 in a few weeks. :)

Lee has to start advertising the Forum in BSA's Boy's Life instead of AARP - LOL! :D

61 for me, age-wise. But at least I know I have 1 young convert in the family; my 25 year old daughter would much rather shoot a nice revolver than an auto pistol. That is, except for my Coonan Classic, which is a 1911 style pistol that shoots 357 Mag ammo! She doesn't mind shooting that auto, but could care less about the plastic fantastic bottom feeders.

Super. Looks like I'll be in hog heaven when it comes to buying used revolvers. No competition!

Mentally: 18
Physically: way past 65 (the last category on the poll).

Yes, my mind is constantly writing checks my body can't cash.

As for what I carry, Kimber 9mm in the winter, Kel-tec .380 in the summer, with a Colt 45 Officer's Model typically close by for back up.

I fall in the 56 year old age group and have had to start useing reading glasses but I only wear them when reading . This past week actually I happened to look at myself in the mirror for the first time while wearing those darned glasses up until then I thought I was aging pretty well .Turns out not so much.

53, and high mileage physically. In winter i carry a Sig Sauer 1911, S&W 69, or a S&W 24-3. Summertime I drop a Glock 42 in my pocket.

Have you noticed that most forms or polls that ask for your age put those of us 65+ in the "last box" or in this case circle?

At 71, I've been in the last box for a few years now. As time flies by I've become more aware of the negatives associated with being lumped in the "Last Box".

Just maybe, our opinions about issues change as we mature toward the century mark.:D

63 come January and have just gotten back into revolvers in the last 2 years.

This forum is an enabler to which I have become addicted - I've purchased 7 S&W's during this period - and hope never to be cured.
