im in the pittsburgh area and noticed dunhams running a sale on blazers and remington golden bullets,so i drive 45minutes to buy a large quantity of the blazers only to find 34 50count boxes on the shelves but about 100 bricks of the goldens and told that was all the blazers they had then he just happens to mention the remingtons were the same price--oh and by the way did you know the bricks and loose packs are not the same? so they wont even work with you?--so i'll just buy 15,000 rounds off some other store--told the manager if they dont want my money someone else will gladly take it

There was no bait and switch. He had the Blazers, just not as much as you wanted. Big deal! A store runs a sale and runs out of the advertised product and offers another brand at the same price? Big deal - it happens all the time.

I don't see any problem with either the offer or the information. Often there ARE slight differences between brick and bulk. In the case of Federal Champions the bricks are 40 grain and the bulk is 36 grain. I think the store was simply trying to be helpful.

just seems funny 1st day of the sale early in the morning and on our 1st day of trout season they mysteriously dont have any --they only advertise blazers once a month but goldens are in every weekly sale circular, and when they do advertise bricks you never see more than a few on the shelve--my neighbor notices this alot too---i feel i should have been offered a discount on the 525 packs==and yes they were the exact same bullet---2 bricks=21 5o count boxes so i dont see where the problem was except they were trying to get $5 more for the bulk pack ---figure while your there you'll buy anything out of desparation==bad bussiness practices if you ask me--under 50 boxes for a week long sale get real

The man is out to get ya for sure.

SEEEE ! This is how it starts.
Now this guy knows the man! Looks as if he is ready and willing using him against us.
Next thing you know he will be telling me, you or maybe your children " the man is out to get ya". Then what? What are we to do then?
This could not have come at a worse time! My shipping container is no where near burried yet

When ever I have to drive over 20 miles to buy something I want/need, on sale or not, I always call ahead, talk to some one "of power" Dept. head, assist manager, or manager and have them put what I am going to buy "on HOLD with my name on it.

I too live in the pittsburgh area, and i still have coupons that were available on line from Dunhams. You were able to buy two 525 packs of cci blazer for $30.00, the coupon is good until 5/31/12. I am still waiting for them to show up, the manager keeps telling me next shipment, i have no reason not to believe him. Sometimes things are out of the store managers control, pghrich

Don't get too upset. This happens at big chain stores too.

It's a sign that the company's marketing department is writing checks it's retail & operational divisions can't cash. When there is the disconnect between Marketing's "ideal" and the real world...

  • Retail buyer is caught by surprise and can not secure enough supply
  • Operations manager has to divide up limited stock across stores to try and support Marketing.
  • Store personnel, the hourly workers, get the poop-end of the stick by having to deal with justifiably irate customers.

Dang nab it, I was just at our Dunhams and the price for Blazers was $21 a bulk pack. I didn't buy any. I will have to look up that coupon! My 15-22 eats a lot of .22 and Darn if it aint hungry Now!:D
