Beer.....

Miller High Life, Miller Lite, Bud, IC Light.

Those are my 4 go to not-too-expensive brands.

There's a place we go to dinner about 3-4 times a year that has Spaten, I'll treat myself.

Not really a fan of the IPA type hi-test stuff.

I like Corona... light and doesn't weigh you down after 6 or 7.

If I get an aftertaste I prefer it be from a ribeye or bacon not my beer.

I love an ice cold very thick and heavy dark beer. When and if I can find one it runs about $2+ a bottle (by the six pack). I currently have Modero Negro in the fridge (about $7/6). I love beer but a six pack lasts 6 plus month unless a thirsty soul stops by!

A friend and I brew a batch of "Imperial Russian Tripple Bock" every two or three years. It is so dark; you can't see the sun through a glass of it! One of my Polish friends says there is a whole loaf of bread in every swallow!

My first Daughter-in-law is from Germany. After she had been here a year or two, someone ask her what her favorite American beer was? Natty Light. Great exclamations of disgust! Her reasoning is: After 12 Natty Lights, she doesn't feel full. After 12 German beers, she says she feels full! After 12 German Beers; I feel a Coma!

Like Lone Star...?

I had PBR last night. $1.99 a pint on Tuesdays at Applebees. Obviously I don't have refined tastes. I like them all but those IPA's are kind of skanky.

The hipsters brought PBR back from the dead. That was old man beer back in the late 80's

My old girlfriend's Dad drank PBR. I drank Bud Dry.

Girlfriend, her Dad, and Bud Dry are long gone.

PBR is still here, Go figure.

I enjoy a good "Lawn mower" beer... American and yellow... current flavor is Hamms... probably my first sip of dad's was a Hamms... perfect hot day clean crisp lager... other days I enjoy a stout or bock beer... the darker the better.. current is Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Stout from Kansas... Shiner Bock & Guinness work too

cheers

Back in the day, If I really wanted a beer. I bought Moose Head. Canadian but generally available here in the northern part of the US. Haven't been thirsty for a while, about 4 years since I bought any beer. ( got about 8 cans of the last 12 pack sitting out under the garage over hang that I was going to pour on the garden. Haven' got that done either.

PBR was all we drank when I was in high school... dirt cheap and semi palatable... don't really drink anymore, but do still like the occasional pbr for old times sake...

The German Purity law of 1516 is important to me. But most of the "German" beers I used to get are made in USA now.

A tip of the Alpine Fedora to Cinci's own Brewmeister Gregory Hardmann.

Reinheitsgebot! It’s the law, the German Beer Purity Law of 1516. Nothing but malt, hops, yeast, and water. Christian Moerlein was the first American beer to certifiably pass the German Purity Law known as the Reinheitsgebot. Today, Moerlein Purity Pils is brewed to those standards – serving up a clean and refreshing full-bodied taste with a hoppy, lemon zest aroma.”

Brewed right here in Over The Rhine near the Sam Adams HQ and brewery.

Gotta wash that Michter's down with sumpin'... :D

Many years ago, I took some of my allotted leave time from the army to drive many miles across the country in a Corvair (no A/C) to my parents' home in Phoenix. It was mid-summer and hot as hell. When I got to their house, I was sweating profusely and pretty dehydrated.

Dad directed me over to the small refrigerator he had under his bar.

ICE COLD HEINEKEN!

i have never enjoyed beer so much in my entire life -

...and today it's still my favorite beer! Thank the lucky stars the cost is still relatively reasonable.
