Uplula mentioned earlier today.

Best money I ever spent was for a golf ball retriever. Spent less than 10 bucks 30+ years ago. I guarantee I have recovered well over a thousand dollars worth of balls. Maybe two thousand dollars. It broke a few weeks ago, so I had to buy a new one. Hated to say goodbye to that old friend; we went through a lot together. Visited some strange places that many players don't even know exist.

I probably got more use out of my retriever than I did most of my clubs. Gave up golf years ago - got too much hate mail from the TreePeople. After carting the aging clubs around for the last couple of decades through several moves, I finally got rid of them last year. But I kept the retriever. I've bonded with it. :D

Penny for Pound- probably an apple wedger thingy. Takes the core right out. Amazing.
LOL!!!!! :D

Best money I spent recently was via Groupon to join a premium local range for 4 months. :) Man, did I get my money's worth out if it! :D I shot every damn handgun in their loaner fleet at least half a dozen times. ;) Brought some friends too! :D

Sadly, my mini-membership ends today and I can't afford their special "deal" to remain a member... but it's okay. :) Already, my ears will be ringing until at least next Christmas! :D

My Ariens deluxe 28 snowblower, just got 30 inches of snow the past 2 days. We all have big long driveways in my neighborhood, I did my driveway and 2 of my neighbor's. That thing just ate up the snow and spit it out.

Wow - tough one...I guess #1 and #2 would have to be the checks we wrote out to the adoption agency for our daughter and son. The joy they have brought us is incalculable. #3 would have to be the $50.00 I spent on my first firearm - a Mossberg 500 pump gun that I still own and use. I think I bought that piece when I was around 12 yrs. old (I'll be 60 in a few months), and I've harvested quite a bit of game with it, as well as having it close by when something goes "bump" in the night.

Regards,

Dave

.......the money paid to a pro for placing and finishing the concrete floor in my pole barn. I built the rest.

Dave

Amen, brother! Never do your own taxes, and never try to work concrete - get pros to do it. 30 years ago, I built a detached garage. Did it all myself - except the concrete pad. They had lots of trouble. I had no trouble.

Best money I ever spend,
Guns- A Ruger 10/22
Gun related- RCBS Rockchucker press
Other- A milsurp medium Alice Pack with shoulder straps. Cheap, durable, useful for keeping emergency gear in my truck.
