Best Replacement Grip

I use a G27 grip, it fills out the hand better with a palm swell. This rifle wasnt issued to me so I dont have to keep it the way it came, but to each his own. If you are happy with the grip that came on then thats a plus you wont have to spend money on another, More Bullets!! LOL

Hi guys, what did you use to remove your grip? Looking down the access area I see a rounded fastener with what appears to be either a multi-pronged washer or the prongs are part of the fastener. I don't know what I need to remove this and replace the grip. It's not an allen type or star.
It's rounded on the periphery as well as a concave, smoothly rounded center. Before you tell me, it just occurred to me; it's some ridiculous BS Kalifornia thing! I hope I'm wrong. Thanks in advance for some help.

It was either an allen head or a torx head screw. Nothing fancy or exotic. I know I had the bit in one of my tool kits.

My mistake...it was an allen head. I took it where I bought it and the guy swapped the grip out for me...no charge! As it is, I didn't have an allen long enough anyway. Thanks again for thereply though.

Glad you got it worked out. I have a bunch of screwdriver sets that have allen and torx bits so I just loaded one onto a screwdriver handle to reach into the grip.

I've been looking to change out my grip as well and so far I like one of the MagPul MOE + grip w/the rubber overmold.
Also thought about a wood grip and came across this:
MacTec - Nill-Grips for Tactical Rifles
EXPENSIVE! But damn, they sure look nice!

+1 for MOE and I was pleased that the sales person told me there is now the MOE+ which is same grip but rubberized. I guess they did that to compete with the Hogue. I got the + and used it for the first time yesterday and was really pleased with it.

Man they do look good but $250+ is a bit pricey but boy do they look good.

Ya, I thought they looked great until I saw the price as well. Damn. One of those sure would have looked fine on my new Sport, but not for the price or wait time.

I've been going back and forth between the Magpul MOE+ and the BCM Gunfighter mod1. Anyone tried both? The grip that came with the sport just seems too thin for my hands(and I don't believe I have big hands) so I've been looking at these 2 on line. No LGS has either in stock to make a comparison. I've read the previous posts and they seem similar, but I like the idea of the angle on the BCM. Is the MOE+ similar or is it the same standard angle? Also the MOE+ has a rubber overmold, which I tend to think would have a more positive feel. Is the BCM similar or is it just the polymer hard plastic feel?

I put a Hogue on my M&P15 and like it very much. But on my M&P15-22 I ground down the front of the factory grip and used 3M anti-slip tape on the front. Gives a secure grip and works great on the 22.

MOE+. It's tackier than the MOE grip which I like. Highly recommended.
