I see loads for 45 acp and 9mm.
Looking for tips/comments/recipes/suggestions, Cast lead of course.....

This WSF looks to be similar to WST in the mfg recipe department I was reviewing yesterday.

Take a look at Winchester's website for reloading data. I love WSF for 9mm, cast lead bullets. Just bought another 8lb keg :)
Never tried it with 45acp...

Works well in 40 S&W also, lead or jacket. My fav. for 180 grain bullets. What Wrench said, check the data, good medium velocity powder for several different calibers...

Don't confuse it with WST - it's slower. Similar to the difference between Bullseye and Green Dot, or something like that. It replaced 473AA.

As everyone has said, it works well in the auto pistol calibers (in my case I use it mainly in 9mm) and it is also a good choice for lead bullet loads in the magnum revolver cartridges if you are just looking for a 900-1000 FPS load. I have used it for years in .44 Specials and .44 Magnums but since I lose track of where I get my data, I always hesitate to mention charge weights. Suffice to say it is a handy powder to have around. It shouldn't be difficult to find data - particularly in the older Winchester reloading component hand-outs.

For revolvers I use WSF for .44 special, light .44 magnum and .357s. It will also load 38s very well, but I use Unique for those.

thanks for the ideas gents....

I've long been pleased with nearly any load for accuracy and pleasantness that ranges in the 'moderate' velocity range.

Amazed me years ago when I discovered my own accuracy remained more-or-less-the-same when throwing nearly ~any~ revolver caliber downrange in the 900-1000 fps range.

Recently my 45 acp recipes continue to demonstrate 230g RN cast OR FMJ is best at 775-875 fps regardless of the powder.

My 9mm loads in 115/124 both cast and FMJ works very well in any pistol I have, traveling in the ~1100 fps +/- a bit range.

These are all range games/plinking/target focus, NOT hunting or SD loads.

I was so pleased to discover the wonders of WST a few months ago, & now look forward to the advantages of WSF for comparison.

'so many calibers, so little time'....

Currently loading 125 RNL 9mm with HS6 as that has served me well recently.

May branch into a bit of WSF for trial.

Also considering a few 147 cast as so many here have suggested.

That is what I load my South Dakota Rooster Boosters with. It took me 2 years the last time to find any. It is too valuable to me to use in pistol loads.
